DizzyLizzyOne	I looked into the eyes of King Henry VIII in July on set!!!!! Aug 5 2009, 10:57 AM EDT I had the piveledge of beng an extra on the fourth series of Tudors last month, I played a bald sick lady and he took my hand lifted up my head by my chin looked into my eyes and cured me, I still have not come down from cloud nine!!!!!!!!!! Its true they did believe the king's touch could cure illnesses....perhaps its a way of showing the king's meglomania that he starts to believe he can cure people. I am awaiting a still of the close up I did with him hopefully will be next week will post it as sson as, have one of me in costume on my phone trying to get it on to the pc ads I speak. I know the french kings were said to be healers just by touching sick people, part of the "I'm chosen by God's grace" deal...^^ Sorry to hear about your disease, musn't be fun but well... it's a nice opportunity to have been able to be a part of the Tudors! Do you know at what point of the season the episode your in will be? Do you have some info about the context? I should have said before JRM is an absolute Gentleman, he came up to me personally afterwards and thanked and I got a hug and two kisses for my trouble. I have to say that the scene I was in was quite scary cos everyone is sick and dying and I was not supposed to be with him but he came to me and it was cos I was bald do I care not a bit we had to re-takes 9 thank god and it wasnt me messing up it other actors ha - Love you for treating with such respect JRM you are a legend! We had a gal who was an extra in several scenes of S2, she was easy to pick out from seeing her pictures, she was in the scene where Anne B. is led to the scaffold. She got a close up as well!
