Season3 eposide3 Henry says to Jane Seymour that she is "full of the milk of human kindness". This phrase is attribute to Shakespeare -MacBeth. much, much later. Still, the Bard might have got it from the series! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Let’s get fully hypothetical here. Shakespeare’s mother Mary Arden came from a very prominent family in Stratford. Maybe she was one of Henry’s young mistresses at one point and was once wooed by this self pious, royally over used, humanitarian comment. She then could have kept it as a regular staple in her words of wisdom. Ergo, William is giving away his mother’s tawdry past.

I knew i had heard that saying before! I had to remember it with other Macbeth quotes for English Literature when i was thirteen. My English teacher must be so dissapointed i have forgotten after all that effort :S
