Catherine of aragon the most beloved?

have you ever seen someone saying that hated Catherine of aragon??i didn't.personally, even Anne fans say that Catherine was admirable and very strong.She and Catherine Parr have a huge respect by everyone because their intelligence and sad destiny.Anne seems to be the most or loved or themost hates, not a middle thing, about the other wives i don' know...but for what i see these three are the most "focused" wives Do you find this valuable?

"have you ever seen someone saying that hated Catherine of aragon??i didn't.I know of one person who said they didn't like her, but I suspect that he or she hasn't read much on Catherine of Aragon. Personally, I find it impossible to dislike her. She was so strong and devout, a kind person, and a loving mother. I think that she was a wonderful role model. I also really like Catherine Parr, another good role model. They are my top two favorites of Henry's wives. Do you find this valuable? |

All of Henry's wives were remarkable and Katherine of Aragon is certainly an admirable woman, as are some of his other wives. Personally I really have a hard time saying I "love" or "hate" someone I never met ...who lived 500 years and all we know is what other people have written about them. Especially when we know most authors are prejudiced in one form or another. One thing is for sure, to capture a King's heart (even if for a brief time) makes them ALL fascinating and interesting women....hence the reason we keep talking about them :)

One thing is for sure, to capture a King's heart (even if for a brief time) makes them ALL fascinating and interesting women....hence the reason we keep talking about them :)"You right, i personally,like i said, never saw someone saying that hated Catherine,i think it's hard to hate someone we never met, even me who dislike Henry VIII,but as for Catherine is a rare thing to see.i normally see"i hate AB or i Hate JS" thinks like that but never Catherine... Don't you guys ever read comments on youtube videos? There are a load of hate comments on the wives. I've seen her been called Katherine of Fatagon, barren whore and a whole load of racist and anti-catholic insults which i won't repeat on here. The majority of these people are uneducated and bias. I have only ever seen Anne fans insult Katherine. Anne is the person most people insult, followed closely by Katherine Howard, and then Jane and KoA are probably equal third. I have never seen anyone insult Catherine Parr though.

And she was the mother of the very FIRST qUEEN rEGNANT IN eNGLAND - i THINK THAT DEFINATLY EQUALIZED WOMEN TO MEN MORE! oooops, sorry i would retype that but i didnt relise i was using the caps lock, and i have to go now, so no time to retppe it! sorry folks! One of the best things about this Wiki is that everyone is courteous and respectful - and also open-minded about historical figures. That is the best way to discuss things, of course. I don't think I would enjoy the youtube experience too much.

There is also a lot of trash and incivility both in videos posted and comments; one needs to be selective. We are so lucky on this wiki to have mostly polite, civil members. We only know what we read & authors can be biased. From what I've read about K of A, she was a lady with many good qualities. She did have faults, however, like all of us, but her virtues outnumbered her faults. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Im a massive anne fan,but credit where its due COA was a fab queen and was probably a bloody good women all round realy.She managed to keep composure and maintain dignity at all times whilst in the public eye,and if she could put up with henry for all those years......respect x
