From the Tudors Season 4 Prediction Page:

Will Charles Brandon continue to be the King's BFF? Or is nothing sacred?

Henry only keeps friends for as long as they serve him unconditionally. The big picture never seems to enter into his psyche. Henry's best friend is himself.

I really agree with you there and i don't think that henry will say "I am kicking you out of court, so pack your bags" there is always a reason behind somthing henry does even if he does'nt know it himself yet.

Historically they were thick as thieves in the last years, but who knows what Michael Hirst is going to do with the characters? There will be enough heads rolling without any added invented executions though. Katherine Howard, Culpepper, Dereham, Surrey, probably Anne Askew, too. Do you find this valuable?

I find him fascinating, too. He was a deeply troubled man I think, insecure, unhappy and with a tendency for paranoia, especially in his later years. But I believe he cared for the people he loved and he was often very, very generous to them. He seems to have periodically mistrusted everyone as a result of the way things were at court, though and that led to executions a good number of times. It's actually really sad.

I think it will continue to be a thin line for Brandon. I LOVED the scene in season 3 when Henry is eating the fruit from the new world and talking about his appetite for new things, i.e. close advisors. He was constantly toying with those around him, even those closest to him, keeping them unbalanced. It was actually pretty crafty ruling even if it didn't make for a really nice guy. Sorry, but I really don't see Henry as admirable. In fact, in his later years, he was a monster.

He is fascinating, but certainly not admirable! I certainly wouldn't like it if my kids looked up to him, so sir!
