Well starting from first thing in the morning... shower, proper toilets, hairdryer, makeup the list is huge and that's not even starting on the 'big stuff' - technology, cars/trains/planes, medical care, freedom too choose what I believe...... Do you find this valuable?

Disposable diapers
Baby Wipes
Pacifiers
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Refrigeration so food wouldn't go bad
ICE CREAM"

Cell phone!
Man, I'm lost when I forget it home the whole day, it's always when you'd need it that you don't have it! ^^

"Things I'd miss, having more rights as a woman ( and minority), freedom of speech and expression, sanitation, medical care, modern technology, and defintely, the internet."
Yes that's true, also I'd miss my toothpaste, as a lot of people had rotting teeth which makes me shiver. Also people used tho throw unspeakable things out of the window from their chamber pots.

I'd miss all my books which wouldn't have been written at the time. I think i would go insane without my books to educate and entertain me, especially if there was nothing to do in the evenings! Do you find this valuable?

"This is a silly question, but if you woke up the next morning in Tudor England, what is the one modern convenience that you would miss the most? My vote goes to a nice, hot, shower. I could deal without my cell phone and computer, but I'm too much of a neat freak to tolerate bad hygiene..."
I`d miss hygiene, so much. I guess that comes under hot showers, but things like proper soap, toothbrushes and tampons etc, etc.
I`d also miss my Human Rights (it wasn`t just women who had few rights, in reality). The idea that the state could not only order my execution, but order my execution and make it extremely drawn-out and agonising affair, would chill me to the bone.

Hand sanitizer! Well, I guess I could just remember to wash for 30 seconds...but did they have nice clean public fountains? I wonder if I'd want to use it even if the water looked clean. Do you find this valuable?

If I woke up in Tudor England, I'd be upset, as I cannot live without my laptop and cell phone! I would, though, love to wear Tudor-era costume and meet the Tudors!!! Do you find this valuable?

This is very interesting ... I doubt that we would be able to survive

I agree with most of the above and I would certainly miss the showers. Also, my privacy in the toilet / bed (if I was royal)

I had an interesting thought ... how would Henry or the other guys from that era would feel and what they would think if they landed up today

They`d think that we were all Godless heathens who deserve to be burned. That is, if the shock doesn`t kill them. In a way it`d be unfair to drag them into this century, afterall we know about them, they`re part of our history, we`d atleast have a vague idea of what to expect, if we went back. To them, we`re the unknown future. Poor dears wouldn`t have a clue.

LOL! Poor Henry, he`d be reduced to a gibbering wreck. Not only can he not execute anyone, but he wouldn`t even be King, he`d be second place to Elizabeth Windsor. Nay, scratch that. He wouldn`t even be second place, its a whole new dynasty. He`d be nothing more than a subject!
If we brought them here, they`d be a hazard to themselves and others. Can you imagine trying to teach them to cross the roads, catch a train or navigate thier way around modern day English cities? They`d be scared out their wits by traffic and planes flying around. They`d never have imagined air travel at all!
And the dress people wear. The immorality (as they would see it), of modern women`s dress would knock them stone dead! Imagine Henry`s face.
Sorry for rambling here, Henry`s 7th Wife, but your question has fired my imagination!!

LOL
That is too funny!!
Imagining Henry in modern clothes, now!! lol
He wouldn't be able to discard his wives so easily, though!
And he thought a divorce in Tudor england took forever!!
I wish someone would hurry up and invent a time machine! =D

The idea is good isn't it? I saw the French movie "Les Visiteurs". It was all about 2 guys visiting our time from the medieval times. And of course, crazy as I am about him, I started thinking about Henry then lol.
