When Francis Bryan Lost his Eye

So, while trying to figure out when Shrove Tuesday fell in 1526, I discovered that Francis Bryan lost his eye in a joust that day. It also happened to be the day that Henry made his interest in Anne Boleyn publicly known. Do you find this valuable?

Oh, and in case you wanted to know, Shrove Tuesday fell on February 7th. :-) Do you find this valuable?

That's how he lost his eye? I always imagined some cuckolded husband had something to do with it. Do you find this valuable?

You would think, lol, but evidently it was in something noble like a joust. :-) I thought he might have lost it while he was in Ireland, but I guess not. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, I read that recently when I was searching for information on Mr Eye-Patch himself. For some reason, I think it would have been more interesting if it was because some husband found about a dalliance with his wife or something along those lines. Do you find this valuable?
