"It does and I feel the same way; it's weird how 2 less eps can really effect the season (imo) . I personally think some of the characters deserved more screen time (Cromwell, Jane & AOC).
I know it was for effect but I still thought it was weird them throwing in a moment with Cromwell and his son.
It's almost like they didn't feel this season was important enough, if you get what I mean. But at the same time I guess the "scandals" are more entertaining hence why next season is 10 eps (maybe).
"
And what about all of the other additional non-essential characters they took so much time with...ursula, bryan, holbein, the english ambassadors, the brother of cleves, etc., etc., etc., way too much script for them. If you added up all of Bryan's seductions and travels looking for Pole (who we know won't be found so what is the poinit) the could have made a whole additional episode. Maybe the actors wanted a rest...?

I just hate how Catherine Brandon and Charles' relationship seems to be falling apart because he is always plotting the downfall of one secretary or another. They just seem to be the most real couple and they do really love each other-oh well it would just be nice to have one relationship on the Tudors work out:) Do you find this valuable?

"I was just so desperate to see ANYONE from Cromwell's family that I was happy with all the Gregory we got!"
I was so happy to see Gregory. Yes, they should have brought him in earlier, because we needed to see Cromwell a bit more with family or friends...like last season. It was rushed...the whole season and especially the last ep, but I wouldn't want to give up those touching scenes with Cromwell and his son for anything. They were very good together. It was so bitter sweet.

Completely agree. They have such a great relationship that doesn't nearly receive the air time it deserves. It'd really be a shame if their relationship fell apart. Here's to hoping for a reconciliation in season 4.

That's a good point Karen. I'm guessing Hirst actually thinks the majority just want to see romps every other scene.

"I think the dowager duchess looked like a smarmy dirty old woman and the dormitory like a Chinese brothel. Not accurate at all; they lived in a decent home and the guys who came in were mostly from noble families; they did so covertly at night under cover of darkness like horny teenage boys. Dereham "snuck" into Katherine's bed and took advantage of a young girl's need for affection. And on the show she looks like the pick of the litter; the "come hither" and Bryan looking like a pimp..."
That was the impression I got as well.

I felt bad for Princess Mary. She really liked the Phillip. Her life would have been so different if she would have been able to marry him.

Cromwells downfall was to rushed. The fault of only having 8 episodes. Cromwells execution was the worst. I felt so bad for him and his son watching. I wonder(thought I doubt it) if Thomas Seymore and Bryant felt bad about what they did. All in all I though it was a good end. Katherine Howard does get on my nerves big time though. The gigging has got to stop.

I cant wait to see promos for next season
