I like him. In the scene in France he has this mischievous grin which I associate with Tom Seymour. As for the guy who plays Ned Seymour, I don't like him very much. I just hope they match the age of the Catherine Parr actress to that of Tom! Would be horrible to have her much older than him. Do you find this valuable?

"Edward Seymour is gorgeous on the show and history has said that Thomas was serious eye candy. So I expected them to get a smokin actor to play him who would outshine Edward, and they didnt. Its not like he is Thomas Tallis ugly. Convie the guy you are talking about is Clive Owen and I personally have never found him attractive.
You guys will think this is hilarious but everytime I close my eyes and think of Thomas Seymour I get Jonathan Ryhs Myers.
LoL Convie I thought he stabbed the dog not shot it. That is the picture that came up when I googled him and I that picture is just not resonating over onto the show. "
But really if you think about it....Edward Seymour in season 2 was pretty forgettable looking. I think a lot of it is to do with the wardrobe ...he looks so much better in season 3. I think the Thomas Seymour actor Andrew McNair is a very nice looking fella but then as we know looks is all in the eye of the beholder...we don't all have the same taste ...thank goodness.

As for the historical characters, I have always thought the Edward portrait of him as young man showed him as the better looking of the two brothers. Mind you, I think it was more about personality and charisma. Edward was known for being rather cold as opposed to his brother who seems to have been a bit of a ladies man.

PS. her name isnt convie...its CONYLE

Right you are. Stupid underlined font! I quit correcting people awhile ago as I can see why they think it's Convie with that silly underlined font. Can't see the Y.

My user name is a combination of my kids names - Kyle & Connor. =)

My bad I totally thought it was Convie, I apologize.
In the historical portraits I dont think Edward looks better I just think he and his brother look a heck of a lot alike. And if they look that much alike it had to be the personalities that seperated the two. I dont remember much of Edward in season 2 because I hated most of the Seymours at that time, and my poor Mark.....:burts into tears: Maybe they will make him look better in upcoming episodes

No worries. Just a word of warning to anyone who wants to use a Y in their user name!

I think he has a rather sinister appearance to him which is the reason why i think Andrew was picked. I don't find him unattractive i just don't fancy him which is maybe a good thing because if i did i'd probably look for the good traits about him and i don't want to like or feel sympathy for a child abuser. I think Andy is good looking, he has amazing eyes, not that you got to see them really well in the episodes he was in. I may be biased, seeing as Dan was my favourite character in Hollyoaks :)

As for not liking him because of the person he portrays... he's an actor not actually Thomas Seymour

I love Andy, it took a while for him to grow on me because i couldn't understand why they choose him to play Seymour. Now i know why, he's got that manipulative glint in his eyes, and that smirk... can't wait to see more of him in Season 4, and hopefully they'll build a bit more on the relationship between him and Catherine Parr!

Like a poster said earlier this year...I hope he doesn't take offense to the original poster's opinion - after all, it is her opinion. Maybe we are just spoiled by JRM, Cavill, and LeComte - the triple threat of womanizing leading men we have all come to know and lust after... :-)

I think he's quite adorable, although I'm attracted to men of an older and burlier type.

He is very young-looking. I wonder now if the show will even portray the Catherine Parr Thomas Seymour pre-Henry infatuation? It does seem odd that they would cast a youngster (albeit a handsome one) for a part of a love interest to a late 30s-something queen...but Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher sure pulled it off in real life!

He is very good looking, he has a cuteness about him. Perhaps they will use that and make him seem all sweet and cute to the women but he's a little womaniser underneath it all. I think him and Max are equal in looks and both are very handsome. I wouldn't mind being in a Seymour brother sandwich at all :-) Do you find this valuable?

Well, saw pix of him for season 4 and still not impressed. Ive said it before, if Thomas Seymour is supposed to be the stud than he shouldnt be outshined by Edward, Henry, Brandon, the king of France, almost the king of Spain...In a show full of eye candy they should have gotten someone who could compete.
