"What I've read is different LadyJane, I have some admiration for the man after all he did rise from very lowly beginnings, a brutish Father and no formal education, to become a Merchant and highly thought of Lawyer, he managed to penetrate the closed ranks of Norfolk's aristocratic faction, without patronage or personal following or university education and steal the position of 'chief minister' which Norfolk thought was now his. He had a strong intellect and an enquiring mind as well as a capacity for hard work.Ii have a few catherine of aragonwho was a strong woman believed in her faith and also she was gracious. even though she was a foreigner the english people loved her. also ann boleyn she was another strong woman i didnt believe in the reformation she made many lives unbearable because of the reformation but i like her will. also i like jane she was strong but she didnt show it she wanted to change how women were treated like she said on the show i wont do it in public i would do it privately but i will do it all the same.henry pick strong women to be his wife their wisdom got them into trouble. Thomas Moore, i'm not such a great fan of though, I think he's had an easier ride historically speaking than many of the other playersof that time and by that I mean how he has been remembered. "and 1 person i forgot thomas moore he stuck what he believe in and he died for it. he wasnt a yes man for the king like cromwell was."Might I ask you, what was Cromwell, Wolsey, and More too, suppose to do when they might not have agreed with the King's policy? Were they suppose to turn they're backs on the King and thus risk the King's wrath? No, they ALL were suppose to do what the King wanted, when he wanted. It didn't matter what they thought, or believed. More did eventually turn his back on the King, but at his own risk. I know you don't mean to get people rilled up with your comments, but it infuriates me to no end when you make up unreasonable excuses to dislike Cromwell. He wasn't a god, no one is saying he was,but he was a damn good man. He deserves respect from everyone for his work ethic, his mind and his sheer determination. You seem to forget that Cromwell was too, a religious man. Your reasons for disliking Cromwell are, to me, are just hatered towards him. What has Cromwell done to you? He was only a man trying to make his way in the world. Sorry that you don't respect that. I do, and so do others. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"So James Frain. Will he do another Broadway show? I would love to go to one, if he is.I hope so. I'd never be able to get to it, but you could tell me about it! I wish he'd do some theatre in the UK, that would be awesome, though it would probably be in London and I'd STILL not be able to get to it. Damn living in the sticks! I'm really intrigued by this In Plain Sight role he has coming up, though... Do you find this valuable? |

"Do we know if it's for the US or Uk market"It's probably on one of the cable channels if it's shown in the UK. There are a number of James's fansites that say they're going to post when the relevant episode airs (at least in the States), so we might be able to figure out when it'll be shown in the UK from that. I wish he'd do some more British telly... :( Do you find this valuable? |
