"Oh sorry! lol I don't think the whole film's on YouTube, but there are a few fan music videos. Actually, I think there's one video that's just James's scenes edited together...but if you're wanting to see Natalie P too that's not so much use. I'll see if I can find it though..."
Where the Heart is would be on Amazon and I don't think it would be that much... since it wasn't a huge hit and it didn't have a gigantic budget... I sometimes see it at Walmart and maybe Target once.. but it randomly pops up into stores. Next time I see it though.. I am getting it!

But if anyone IS interested, this is the vid with (I think) most of James's scenes in WTHI...I think there are a couple missed out. Bizarrely, considering he's the love interest, grouped together he's really not in it that much.

"Yeah, I think it's a pretty tiny role. But all actors are in crap films from time to time, lol...James is pretty lucky, most of his films are great!"
The die hard Frain fan must see:

"Armadillo" (edited American version is usually available on Amazon...but, only on VHS..sadly. The best version is the Brit one. It's not edited plus they have it on DVD, I believe)

"Vigo" (I got a copy from a site who's name escapes me now. I'll try and find it. I got it on DVD, but it has Chinese subtitles. LOL. It wasn't that expensive)

"Were the Heart Is" (really easy to get)

"What Rats Won't Do"(Virtually impossible to attain. It is shown on Sundance Channel once and a while. It's a totally wonderful movie. So cute.)

"Macbeth on the Estate" (also impossible to get...but, thank goodness someone has loaded it to Youtube. I actually have it on VHS.)

"Nothing Personal" (It's kinda didfficult to get over here. Last I checked, on Amazon it was $89. I have it on VHS, but would love to get it on DVD. It's probably a lot easier to find in Britain.)

Actually, I love most all of James' films. Most are of the Indy variety, so most are difficult to find. To me the worst films he's been in were "Red Meat", "Reindeer Games", "An Awfully Big Advernture", and "Into the Blue". He was great in all of them, especially "Red Meat" and "Reindeer Games"...but the rest of the films were so bad, that I just Fast Forwarded to James' parts...and, he's barely in "Into the Blue". That movie really sucked, so I think his limited role in that stinker was for the best.

What's the difference between the American version and the British version of Armadillo?

Red Meat actually sounded good to me, but what was it that you didn't like about it? I read that it was one of the first movies to make Sundance, Sundance. That it was the movie that started it all...

*sighs* That part is so hot...

I think the American version of Armadillo is just really edited. It's a mini-series originally, so think they trimmed it to make it fit a feature film length.

"The sad thing is... They are ALL like that... Blah..

I want to see Armadillo! "
You've got to see "Armadillo" Maggie. I'd let you borrow my copy, but it's the only one I have and I'm too afraid to part with it even for just a moment. I knew a lady in Ireland at the time it aired in the UK, and she made me a copy and even converted it for me so I could watch it on my player. He is the cutest ever in that. He's in every scene and is the leading actor. It's funny, sad, suspenseful, romantic, and mysterious
. Very well done with loads of really quirky characters. He plays a young man that was born into a family of gypsys...but, he's kind of ashamed of his past and tries to pretend he comes from a wealthy Scottish family. But, despite being a bit ashamed of his real family, he's always there to help them out, and it's obvious he loves them so much. I just adore it.

The British Version of "Armadillo" was aired as it was meant to be. But, when A&E got it, they cut about 20 minutes out so they could show their crappy comercials. There is a flower vendor guy in "Armadillo" who is so funny and is always giving Lorimer (James' character) a hard time. Their scenes are priceless. Yet, in the American version of the mini-series they've totally cut all of the vendor's scenes. It's criminal, I tell you. But, if you can only get the American version, it's still worth it. It's still all James and it still is a great series, just not as good as the uncut one. A&E's site used to have it for sale. They may still have it.

James' story line in "Red Meat" is the only good part of that movie. It's about three guys and their experiences with women. The first two guys are such total jerks it makes you sick. James' character starts out as this real self absorbed man that doesn't really care about anyone...not even himself, really. Then he meets this woman dying of cancer. He falls in love with her and it changes his life. But, their isn't enough of their story in the film. Still, it's worth getting just for James' part.

If someone could load "Macbeth on the Estate" to Youtube, couldn't they do the same with "Armadillo"? I don't know if the copy right laws would prevent it or not. It didn't prevent someone from loading up MotE...and it was also a BBC production. I'd do it, but don't have the necessary equipment :(

"The Buccaneers" is also a really good James project. It's a mini series that aired on PBS back in the late 90s. He's a rather complex character, to say the least. Not really a bad guy, but not a good one either. Conflicted would be the best way to describe Julius. He's simply amazing in it. It used to be on Amazon and it was pretty inexpensive.

Fave one's for me are....

Armadillo - just adorable and in every scene.

Vigo - beautiful love story, v sad at end

Nothing Personal - brilliant acting by all concerned

Loch Ness - sooo cute

The Vice - just gorgous although a bit er damaged

Actually I like everything he does, he's always different so you wouldn't really know what he's like in real life, only seen two interviews and he seems a nice cheerful sort of chappy, bless him :-)

He's very HOT in "The Vice". Effing HOT. I loved him in that, and yes his character definitely had issues. But, dang, that character made me wanna be a hooker LOL

He's so cute and wide eyed and rosey cheeked and adorable in "Loch Ness". His Scottish accent was really good.
