Discussion: Worried about King&Duke dynamic this Season

"After seeing previews for Season 3, is anyone else worried about the direction they are taking with Henry and Charles? I'm fond of their usual buddy dynamic, but it looks like Charles won't have much to be happy about this Season in regards to Henry. Killing innocent people wouldn't exactly be on the top of my 'Doing that for friendship' list."

"I agree that this season, Charles will have a tough time with Henry! Killing against his will, and seeing his loyalty question by Henry! In promos, it seems Henry doubt his friend and he's reading to condamn him...Charles will surely have a tough time to save his ass...v.v But I guess that in the end, Henry will continue to relay on him (cf. the 'suffering scenes' of Henry, Charles is still the first person nearby).

Anyway, I can't wait to see this new dynamic, it will add a lot of tension!! HC will have surely great scenes with JRM and with JF!!! Can't wait!!! (I love tortured men XD)"

"Well, Crom is doomed, we know that already. I enjoyed his worried self in the first episode immensely (though I'm not a Cromwell hater). Henry was so mercurial - first calling him Thomas and Tom, telling him he was pleased, creating him an Earl, then hitting him on the head and threatening to end him!! Ouch! So I can certainly feel for the Crom fans. :-)

But we already know how and why he looses favor with the King. The Brandon storyline is an invention of the show however, so I'm on the edge of my seat about how that is going to play out. And because I love the buddy relationship Brandon and the King have, I would hate to see that go. I don't think Henry and Cromwell have the same kind of emotional relationship, it's more of a mafia-like 'partners in crime' relationship between them, I think. :-)"
