"I am not certain if Crom was the first man to have escaped the Tower, i know there was someone who managed to, but i'm not certain if that was before or after Cromwell's time!"
Yea, I don't think no one had ever "Escaped". Although, I expect there have been many attempts.

Ok, making an attempt... Don't know exactly where I'm going with the story..... Thought of something...

"Now Mister Wyatt, can you please just tell us why you were in Thomas Cromwell's cell?" asked Sir Richard Rich, slapping Thomas Wyatt on the shoulder.

Thomas looked up at Richard and smirked.

"Yeah, like I'm going to tell you. You scoundrel."

Richard pursed his lips and nodded to the man next to him.

The man walked up to Thomas and grabbed his left hand and placed it on the table in front of him. From his pocket, the man took out a small hammer.

"What are you doing with tha-". Then Thomas screamed. Using the small hammer with brutish strength, he pulverized two of Thomas' fingers.

Leaning against a chair, Richard asked again, "Again Mister Wyatt, why were you in Cromwell's cell?"

Thomas didn't say a word. So again, the torturer broke another finger. Thomas' screams reverberated around the little room.

Richard shook his head in disgust. Tears where streaming down Thomas' face as he cradled his broke hand in the other.

"Your insane Sir Richard. I am a noble man. You can't do this to me." sputtered Thomas.

Richard ignored Thomas, and repeated himself, asking the same question that he had been asking for the past hour.

"Sir Thomas, I am asking you again, why were you in Cromwell's cell, instead of him? Where has Cromwell gone?"

* * *

Well ok, I thought it would be good to go back and see what is happening to Poor Thomas Wyatt. I also had to bring in Richard Rich, I hate him! Maybe I could have done better, but I have hw. So I shall be back!

Dream Update:
Dreamt about Henry, again... Cromwell did pop up, but he left. I was upset.

I don't know. He just yells and breaks things. When he is yelling, his voice goes in and out. It's weird. The dream doesn't last very long, it's like a commercial. I want to know what he is yelling about.... but so far nothing... Have you seen Ep. 2 of Season 3 yet? If not, look at the discussion board! It was a good Ep. It could have been better, IMO. There is so much during that Ep. though that makes you question both Henry and Cromwell's REAL intention.... Do you find this valuable?

Not to get 0ff topic here..BUT...

DAMN. Where are they showing ep 2 of season 3??? I didn't even know it was up yet. But, ya know what? I might not watch it 'til it airs on TV. I don't like getting ahead of the 'offical' showings. For some reason I just really enjoy it more watching it on the 'telly', But, I'm mightily tempted to watch it. Is it on the Showtime site?

No...don't tell me. I can wait. But, I do think I'll go look for some spoilers :)

Yeah, Ursula bugged me in this episode as well...then again, everyone bugged me for some reason. *sigh* I know...JF/Cromwell's eyes....he's so sneaky/troubled/hot in this episode. Like you, I got the feeling something's up. Listen, Crom, you're my honey, don't start being *too* bad.

And now to go back to our regularly scheduled programming...LOL. I've got stuff to do right now, but unless someone's already added the next part to the story, I shall return!

I feel the same too, about everyone just getting on my nerves... Henry (just because he's Henry), Jane (why couldn't she fix up her husband nasty wound? instead of that tramp -->), Ursula (ugghhh), Bryan (he looks sooo nasty and dirty, he's perfect for Ursula), Mary (that fainting... Ohhh please), some of the Pilgrim guys (their belief that the king will let them go scotch free is sad), Richard Rich (just cause he was there), and a little Cromwell.... he's up to something, and I want to know what...

I fear Cromwell may be going to the dark side.. a little... he'll dabble in it.... but I think it will be his undoing... Well I have got to get ready for my classes... Got a speech today, save me! So I shall be back to continue 'the Flight of the Secretary'!

(still crying, my poor Wyatt!!!)

Three was enough, no matter how much they broke after that, Thomas was never going to be able to write with this hand again, they could break the last two for all he cared, he wasn't going to tell them anything... he couldn't help but think of poor Mark at this time, what had they done to him to make him confess, he knew Anne would not have slept with Smeaton, he had simply confessed to make the pain stop, poor poor Mark.
"Well, i enjoyed the hospitality so much last time, i couldn't resist a repeat visit" Thomas remarked, the torturer wasn't the one to grab Thomas hand this time, Sir Richard took hold of it, grabbed the hammer, flattened Thomas' hand on the table, and flung the hammer down, with so much force, directly in between Thomas' knuckles, Thomas screamed, pulled his hand back, holding it gently in his unwounded one, that had really ticked Richard off.
"Now, we can make this a lot harder for you, Master Wyatt, we can keep going until we've broken every finger on your other hand, or, should the King give the orders, we can have you racked to get the information we seek, now, tell us, why were you in Thomas Cromwell's cell?" asked Sir Richard.
"Because... " Thomas spluttered, the pain in his hand was overbearing.
"Because?" asked Sir Richard.
"Because i stood idly by while my friends were executed four years ago, when I was the only one who was guilty, i didn't want to stand by and watch for a second time!" Thomas spat in Richard's face.
"Now that's very noble of you Mr Wyatt, but are you aware of what kind of a man you are protecting, Cromwell is scum, he is nothing more than an ambitious liar, who will step on anyone to get to the top, and you're one of his stepping stones Mr Wyatt, but you were his one to freedom, is that really what you want to be?" asked Richard.

"Do you really want to be used, so filth like him can live, he isn't a born nobleman like you and I Mr Wyatt, he isn't as educated as you and I Master Wyatt, he came from nothing, and look at everything he tried to achieve, with nothingness to his name" taunted Richard.
"Nothing wrong with working for what you have" commented Thomas and Richard slammed his hands down on the table furiously.
"DAMN YOU" roared Richard, and spun away from Thomas to face the wall.
"You are one of our majesty's most loved subjects, you're the son of a man his father trusted, a man he trusts, do you think he want to subject you to this, Thomas, he just wants to see justice done, he wants Cromwell found, and you to be released" explained Richard, losing his patience.
"Justice? His majesty doesn't understand the meaning of the word, was it justice the manner in which the Queen was executed, her brother, Smeaton, Brereton, Norris, was that justice?" asked Thomas, talking more to himself than Richard, whose eyes widened at the very mention of Anne Boleyn.
"It would do you no good to mention her name Master Wyatt" threatened Richard.
"It doesn't matter what i say to you, who i mention to you, you'll twist it no matter what, i know what you did to Thomas More, he would never utter such words, but you made sure he did, and told your own version of events... "Thomas would have continued but Richard lunged at him, grabbing him by the neck.
"HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF SUCH - " that's when the door swung open behind Richard and a familiar voice intervened.
"Sir Richard" it was the Duke of Suffolk .
"That is enough, the King has not ordered for Wyatt to be tortured any further, we have received word of a merchant ship nearby, we have reason to believe Secretary Cromwell might be aboard the vessel" explained Charles.

"We are instructed to investigate this immediately" explained Charles, and Richard slowly released Thomas from his grip, looking between him and Charles suspiciously, almost assuming Thomas had something to do with this stroke of luck!
"Mr Wyatt, you are to be released" stated Charles, and Thomas instantly looked to him.
"I beg your pardon?" asked Thomas.
"King's orders, you are to go now, home to your wife Elizabeth Brooke, where you shall live conjugally with her to the end of your days, if you refuse, no matter who intervenes on your behalf, you shall suffer death by decapitation" explained Charles.
"That cannot be - " began Thomas.
"The King has gone to great lengths to ensure your release, go now, you are aware of how quickly his majesty can change his mind" stated Charles, Thomas didn't believe for a second that the KING had gone to great lengths to release, he sensed the hand of someone else in this matter, the new Queen of England, his family had been very close to both the Boleyns and their relatives the Howards, Kathryn Howard must have been the one to intervene, Henry would have done no such thing. No he could be of better use to Cromwell, he also hoped Francesco and his crew had left the shores of England by now, and that he could find him before the King's men could.

Wow, i'm feeling so much better today, had no idea when i was going to rap that up, lol!

Argh, where's my inspiration gone? *thinks hard*

That was brill, Reggie...tough going, though. Poor Wyatt... :(

About the episode, I still love it, but it was bizarre how annoying everyone was, *including* Cromwell (I totally hate the fact that he's hanging out with that Richard Rich. Bad influence, much?). And it wasn't anyone's acting that annoyed me, it was just the characters and all their nasty, double-dealing shenanigans. I've totally gone off Princess Mary, and I'm really feeling the absence of any strong female characters. Where are you Anne??? I sound like I'm moaning...it was still aces :D

*goes back to thinking*
