The Walmart Baby!!
Mar 13 2009, 2:30 PM EDT | Post edited: Mar 13 2009, 2:30 PM EDT
Did any one see James Frain as the champion of a young Natalie Porman who gives birth in a walmart.
Does any one remember the name of that movie?

That would be 'Where the Heart Is'.

I wish I loved that movie more. James is adorable but I feel a bit meh about the rest of it :-(

I've always wanted to see that movie as Natalie Portman is my fave actress, and now i want to see it even more because Jimmy Frain is in it. Is it available here, or is it an American movie?

Oh, it should be available here, I think. I found it pretty easy to get hold of. Natalie's very cute in it as well. And James is about as unlike Cromwell as you can possibly imagine ;-) Do you find this valuable?

Too true. He's *very* cute in it, kind of dorky and nervous. And Natalie's really beautiful. Definitely get it. It's not one of my fave films, but it still makes me go 'Awwww'

August Rush isn't one of my faves but it still makes me go "Awwww" as well, besides, i'd like to see JImmy playing a different character to Cromwell, i've seen him in Elizabeth and reminded me the hell of Chapuys in that, and i've seen his as a gangster in another movie, the name of which i cannot remember!!!

I didn't know it was him! He was so sweet and adorable in that movie. Such great versatility he has. And I loved that movie, such a great moral of it, no matter how bad it gets, keep your head high and just do the best you can. I need to rewatch this now Do you find this valuable?

I didn't make the connection until one of the people at my shop just passed by me a saw a picture of James and commented, He was pretty good in the Wal-mart baby movie." I can't believe that I had not thought of it sooner!!! I loved him in that movie. I remember thinking even then "What a HOTTIE!!" I have the movie on VHS if that tells you how long ago I got into it. Yea, James has been on 2 shows here in America. None that I watch, wish I did though, so I could have seen him! That movie, "Where the Heart Is" is cute, but like HeroineAddict, not one of my faves. I haven't seen it in a while, so my memory is fussy. I just remember (this was before I knew who James Frain was) that I really loved James's character! He was dorky and sweet and just so lovable. Natalie is good in it, I just like her in everything.
Oh yea, the movie is American, but it's been out for a long time, since either late 90's or early 2000's. I lean more towards late 90's.

Yeah you can definitely get it on Amazon. James was amazing in it. Awww he was so sweet! Like I had said before I haven't seen this movie in a long while, James is the only person that sticks out in my mind; his scenes. His accent was very good too, as I remember... this is making my want to see the movie now!

I'm no expert but he seems to do a very good American accent and different one's too.I've managed to catch most of his recent American tv stuff, although he's always playing the bad boy recently. The last one I saw was The Closer (he'd managed to murder two wives and one child) and i still ended up feeling sorry for him!

He was FRIGGIN awesome in "The Closer" .

"Where the Heart is" is a bit sappy...but, I'm a sucker for films like that, and I loved Forney :)

OMG I laughed when I saw this question...I always say that one day you'll be able to ride your hoveround around Wal-Mart, eat until you are stuffed, and there will be holes you can just position yourself over in the aisles...there will be a Wal-Mart gynecologist and sleep pods, you can have your baby there, and finally the parking lot can have a tent city for everyone who has spent all of their money in the store. I know a lot of people love Wal-Mart, no offense, but it has put an awful lot of small businesses out. I went into Wal-Mart once and saw a woman in her 60's wearing her nightgown and slippers with hair in curlers making her adult son try on every pair of glasses in the optometry section. I thought, "what about a Wal-Mart cemetery and cremation center?" IMO/LOL

Off question, sorry. I think James Frain is beautiful - has sympathetic eyes - a real manly man, IMO

There is probably no boundaries when it comes to Walmart's reach. I'm sure if there is a way to get your money from birth to death, they will find a way. (Ican't say much because I am one of the lemings that frequent.

*And of course James is a major babe! (I have a bit to much of a Daddy complex to be able to get out of this addiction!)
