Congrats....

I will be honest with you, I love your acting style that is what got me thru the last Season. I have had a fascination with Henry For a long time and when I saw you were going to play him I had very huge doubts. I am one of those that likes the hear the truth and full of the history and you looked nothing like him. But because I have loved your other movies I stayed and watched this. Because of you I cant live without the Tudors. You are awesome and just because you didnt get it this time doesnt mean you wont the next. I look forward to season 3. You have pulled off something so great and I hope you realize that just because you didnt win doesnt mean your not one of the great actors of your time. Do Us Proud...

frogy23 as I wrote this I could not think of any of his other movies. And I never new his name until The Tudors but he is one of those good actors that noone had noticed yet and everytime I would channel surf I kept seeing this one movie over and over again with him in it and everytime I would stop in my tracks and just be mezmorized by such talent. I have seen all the movies he's ever played in that I could find. I remember when this first came out they said an actor who has played 2 kings and for the life of me I cant remember what movie it was but I remember him dressed in it. Suffice it to say I love many actors like him, I absolutely love Stuart Townsend and would love to see him play a part in this I dunno like one of the Dukes or maybe one of Henrys friend cum enemy over a woman type thing. Whats funny now is that I saw a show or movie with him in it and he played more of a comedic maybe not comedic part I think and since watching this show I just couldnt wrap my brain around his unseriousness of the character he played. All I kept picturing is him as King.LOL..I really watch the show because of him and My love for Peter O'toole, if I were 60 years older Id have to meet him...I absolutely Love Peter and I am not sure if he will play in this one, the Bishop looked different. I saw him in another Henry Movie he was actually Henry in and Ive been amazed ever since. There is something to be said for Irish actors I guess though I deny all the drops of blood of my Irishness.lol

If you can find it, catch a little known movie called The Maker. It co-stars an unknown JRM. It is interesting to see his craft in the early stages. In one sceene he wakes up and pops up from his bed in the exact same way he did in one of the Tudors episodes. The first movie I caught him in was Match Point. It has always been one of my favorites. What is funny is that I didn''t recognise him in the Tudors. My husband picked on me for liking the show just because he was in it,when in truth I enjoyed both for thier own merit, and had not conected him until that moment.

I will have to check that out. I comepletely forgot he was in Match Point. But now I keep seeing him as this young man boy in a movie that keeps playing lil scenes in my head. My nose is stuck more in a book than movies but they are very close in hand. I watch movies as much as I read I might read more though. But watching the tudors and reading about Henry, I am facsinated with him because I want to get inside his head and see what triggers him and how he was with women and rule. Im not into him cause he was supposedly hot or anything and JRM well simply put he is HAWTTTT>>>>

TKB...I am with you...whenever I watch something with him in it I have rented or bought it just because he was in it; but everytime I watch his movies I forget it's him. In Gormenghast he was Steerpike, In Match Point he was Chris, in Elvis he was Elvis...I don't know what it is about his acting but he sucks you into the movie and you forget it's JRM the actor...IMO you really feel like your catching a glimpse into the life of his character. He can be evil and scare the ever loving crap out of you or he can be melencholy and your heart aches for him or he can be sexy and you want to crawl into the TV and rip his cloths off. My fiance makes fun of me whenever I watch "another stupid movie with that guy from the Tudors in it" but he always ends up sitting down and watching whatever it is I have in and enjoying the movie. LadyE...you might also want to check out Tangled. He did it quite some time ago. I have said this before the movie has something lacking in it's actual production but his performance was amazing and there is a cool little twist to the story at the end and the story is good. Oh My I think I will need to make a list....I absolutely loved him in August Rush. I new what was gonna happen before they showed it in the movie and I wanted to so jump in the movie and hug him and cry for him. The funny thing is is that in that movie I got t he impression that the character he played wasnt so different them who he is personally and Kari Russell, Ive always loved her and they looked so suited on that movie it wasnt funny.. Im not saying meloncholy but the rest, musically talented...I would love to hear him sing a ballad his voice would be beautiful. You are right he has an intensity that he can turn up or turn down. I know what you mean. My husband teases me ungodly when it comes to the Tudors the Man Whore King as my DH likes to say. All of a sudden he says to me when we were watching a stint about the 3rd season, he says I think I will watch this with you. I said to him your not gonna stand me screaming at the TV to get the facts right all the while my eyes are glued to JRM and Charles Brandon (cant think right now of his real name) and the costumes! Or how they cut scenes too short.LOL..He laughed at me.

I have bought a tonne of my movies there and if I am careful can usually pick them up for around $10 canadian give or take. Do you find this valuable? |
