The Tv show was based on a book by Tanya Huff if you are interested in reading it. I didnt really like it. Its funny because in the show Henry makes a few references to Anne Boleyn.
I watched the first few seasons of Angel but I believe I lost interest as the show got weirder, the last season was just strange. But I was and still am a Buffy fanatic, I have seen every episode atleast 4x. I also used to read Anne Rice and right now I am watching True Blood on Showtime(or is it HBO)? What other vampire stuff do you like?

HBO. I'm not into vampires and such but I got hooked on True Blood! Are they playing it again? I think we might be getting close to S2 coming out. Did you read the books? They are quite popular. In fact, I think the True Blood Wiki is WetPaint's top Wiki, or close to it. I don't go to the Wiki even though I loved the show because too many people there have read the books and I don't want to stumble across spoilers. Unlike The Tudors, with True Blood, I don't know what's coming next and I want to keep it that way!

Doesn't that show feature Anna Paquin also, remember her from Fly Away Home and X-Men 1, 2, 3?

LOL, yeah and he lives in Toronto, Canada, my hometown of all places! Of course that's where a vampire former bastard son of a Renaissance king would live. :P I have heard of it but I never watched it. I read some Anne Rice, I watched Buffy, Elizabeth Kostova's "The Historian" about Dracula, and lately I've enjoyed John Ajvide Lindqvist's "Let the Right One In" which was made into a movie in Sweden and is being remade into an English adaptation directed by the guy who directed "Cloverfield". I recommend the book for people who really enjoy good classic vampire stories.

I tried to read the Sookie Stackhouse books but in all honestly they were some of the worst written books I have ever read. The Twilight series had better writing. I know some stuff about Sookie and her clan from the books but nobody knows if the show is going to follow the books.
I believe Henry makes a comment that Anne tried to poison him, then when a cop wants to talk to him about a murder, Vicky, his love interest, says "he just wants to talk to you" and Henry replies "yeah that's what they told Anne Boleyn, before they cut her head off". And this last one I am not sure about, I haven't watched the show in awhile, but a girl gets her head cut off and it is far away and Vicky can't see but Henry can, being a vampire, and Vicky asks him is she dead or how she died or something like that and he says something like "a total Anne Boleyn".
As for if they are playing True Blood again, I think they repeated the series last month and they will probably do so again, either soon or when S2 is about to start. You might want to continuously check out the HBO site.

LOL! That actually sounds like pretty accurate things the real Henry Fitzroy would say about Anne Boleyn. He witnessed her execution and they didn't get along in life. Fitzroy did survive a poisoning attempt that was blamed on the Boleyn faction and his father of course called her in front of him, "the poisoning whore".

I actually don't like Anna as Sookie and think she doesnt fit the part. I watch mostly for the vampires. I believe it was a Golden Globe because if it had been an Emmy I would have been really impressed. Do you find this valuable?

The blonde hair is very off-putting with Anna, and much more accustomed to her brown hair. I can't really contest whether or not i think she fits the part as i haven't seen it often enough!

I never read the books, so I don't have a preconceived idea on what Sookie should look like. Much like I'll bet that people who know nothing of the real Tudors probably don't see any of the casting as being historically off!

True. Though I have to say mostly everyone has seen a portrait or heard a version of Henry himself but some of his wives, they don't know. For example I ask my friends who the six wives of Henry VIII are and they say but not in the right order. So if they can't even name them how could they know what they look like, especially the lesser known characters.
