Henry VII or Henry VIII?

How would have history changed if KOA had married Henry VII VS Henry VIII? Why did KOA's father forbid the match? Do you find this valuable?

If Kof A had married H7, she would hjave been Queen, however, any children would be heirs after Henry, who was Prince of Wales.
KoA's father may have objected due to that fact. Katherine would have had a better chance of being mother to the heir if she married Henry. She was still young. H7 was considered old at the time he was considering Katherine for his wife. Just a guess.

Plus, as seen by Elizabeth of York, Henry VII's wife could never hope to wield much influence. His wife might be Queen in name, but his mother would be Queen in everything else. With a younger husband, Katherine's parents could hope that, when Henry VIII was King, she would be able to influence him in favour of Spanish interests.

Long-term, they probably viewed the match as a better investment.

If Katherine had married Henry VII, she only would have became step mother to the king, which is why her father forbid it. Henry VII wasn't in the best of health after his wife died, and since he already had a son, any son that Katherine would have given him would only carried a title of duke (if that much) and would not hold any real power. However, Henry VIII wanted Katherine (according to derek wilson /david starkey) ,and we all know how He can get when he wanted someone. So what would have happen if Kat was force to married a guy she hated? would Henry and Kat had been prompt to pull a Macbeth? hmm? the possiblities are endless.

Maybe Henry VIII would have pulled a "MacBeth" but never Katherine!

Ferdinand and Isabella were horrified at the idea of KOA marrying such an old man as Henry VII was considered to be,and the fact that as her father-in-law he was, according the the custom of the time, seen to be related in the first degree as though Henry VII was in fact her father. In addtion to that as luvprue2 has said, any son of the old King and KOA would not take precedence over the young Prince Henry, whereas any son she had with the Prince would be the heir.
