Unfortunatly the problem that arrises is when women where social climbers and married for money and status. If the husband for any reason lost the king's favor, or the family's funds, the marriage would reveal empty and cold. On the flip side. So there were also risks as the titled wife, depending on your motives. Good thread.

Good thread."Yes and another thing I have learned from"Ladies in Waiting" which is an EXCELLENT BOOK, many of the ladies had previous lovers, they all slept with one another (inter-affairs I mean); it was all about getting close to the throne. Some were mistresses and made ladies later because the title kept them near the man. One of the Kings (I think Charles I) flaunted his #1 mistress to the extent that he insisted he be a lady of the bedchamber to the queen. Some people thought it was an honor to marry a woman who had slept with a Duke or a King. Apparently the only people who ever got whacked were the ones who dared to insult the King in any way. So, look what happened to Mary Boyelyn, she was already married when her family decided she would bed King Henry, and her husband allowed it - one reason being he was promoted in court. Weird, weird people. Do you find this valuable? |

On the page King and Duke, look at the picture of JRM surrounded w/ women. He almost looks scared of the women. I am still not choosing a team but Henry Cavill looks hotter with just 2 women, than Jonny with a whole harem.

Nothing like that little boy smile, and Jeremy Northam has it in spades, though not as More. Sigh. Do you find this valuable? |

I have the Sexy JRM pic (about 4 down) on my phone right now. Fiance wasn't happy when I replaced his face with JRM's but oh well...LOL Is it bad that I turn on my phone everonce in a while just to get a peak?

"I have always had something for Dark Hair and blue eyes and JRM's are the bluest! No one holds a candle and he is a excellent actor that just adds to it. Now if only he knew I existed!
