Discussion: Any one out there a descendant?

"During WW II my uncle was stationed in Europe. He brought a 400 yr old leather bound book that has been with the family from then til now. Our family crest is that of Mary of Scotland. Uncle did not use the con artists that go purchase a family crest for a few pounds. He followed the informaton in the book we have in our family. We have our crest but if you ask my father who his ancestors are he answers the same he and his relatives answer with, "We come from a long line of horse thieves."."
