I felt terribly sorry for her on the show. But I must say, those were the parts I laughed the loudest and the hardest about. When Henry was with her after they went riding, and he says something to the effect, "Madge? Madge sound ridiculous!" and then laughs ridiculously, I laughed pretty hard, too, just at the way he said it.

And I was watching Season 2 again (actually, am right now), and Henry Norris has just come to see Henry about Madge.

"Margaret Sheldon?"

"OH! You mean MADGE," and then that little snickering look I cracked up again. :-P

Mind you- Madge's treatment didn't amuse me, but Henry's reaction to her name did. :-P Do you find this valuable?

I force my husband to watch the Tudors and listen to by running commentary about what is true and what is not. When JRM said that oh madge madge madge line we were both roaring on the floor laughing. It just sounded like he was suddenly in a bar using a pick up line. Do you find this valuable?

haha I do the same with my poor kids. I go...that never happened!...or that happened ! with a surprise in my voice. At least some episodes are pretty close to the real history...the worst was when I watched "the other boleyn girl".

That thing where Henry went on about the name Madge...I wondered if it was Hirst's way of taking the piss out of the name because of Madonna. In England thats what shes known as and he does like to make some reference to more modern things like using....the "you can't have 3 people in a marriage". Just a thought.

I LOVED the Madge stuff. I thought the actress was adorable. And the JRM stuff was really great. Showed a humorous side. I hope they have some more little bits like that in season 3 Do you find this valuable?

I loved Madge but, my other commit about her. I was refering to when she got caught in the middle of Henry and Anne and then again when she got involved with cromwell was interigating her about QA and her brother.
I thought Madge was adorable.

I thought Madge with Madge was cute and one of his rare charming moments. Do you find this valuable?
