Discussion: Calling all Tudors Extras

"Mainly in the Great Hall for various scenes. Parties, writing up tax scrolls (paper work, the general working day), meeting Anne of Cleves for the very first time (the family and crowd).

I havent been in any other seasons but may try out for season 4.

I have seen a few pics. I recognise one or two men. There are quite a good few who have been in all or 2 seasons of the tele series

Most of the main actors that I saw seem grand.


Actually to FMFJRMGRL, I saw Cavill walking along the beach walk in my town recently. He is a fairly big chap. I am 6ft1in, and I reckon he is taller. He is shaped like a rugby player (or american football player)."

"Well it involves a lot of standing about watching a load of the filming crew changing about things and the director or executive producer talking to various other chaps and gals...but it was fun at times when we got to mime (or pretend to chat to each other). Sometimes some of us (crowd artistes) would play out little games with each other in order to have a good rhythm of our so-called conversation.

I had only worked 6 days before recently heading back to college but the days that I worked were long. They were bearable because of the people who were around you. Some mornings were from 6.30am-6pm (or later, extra time after 6pm, lunch also paid for in wages :D ).

Unfortunately I aint the one to have a quick chat with any of the main characters (dont have the guts!). But the actor who plays Thomas Crowell is a wired one (once was mimcking what the exe producer said to us: you arent paying him enough respect. you must give him more respect by bowing more... Cromwell (actor): (in a screeching womens voice, eventhough the exe producer wasnt a woman) Yes! you arent giving me enough respect! )

There was also one time when most of the other extras were sitting on the crowd in the main hall and the crew were setting up stuff, and I was blankly staring across the room...Joss Stone stared straight at me..she diverted her eyes...I did too. :P

This morning I found a news article on the net claiming that JRM will not be returning to any more series after next year. No other info, sorry.
