I felt so sorry for Thomas during Anne's execution. How he must have suffered knowing he would live and she would die. It must have been a horrible burden to bear. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree, I was very emotional during that scene, well even through the entire episode. Thomas must have felt horrendous guilt for his part in this horror. I thought it was flimed very well, and took care to not be gory, just rising you up in suspense for the inevitable.

I thought it was very moving that she seemed to see him in the crowd and at least appeared to gather some comfort from it. They say when one is speaking publicly to focus on one person and at first, it appeared to be Cranmer, but them she saw Thomas. That entire show was so emotional!

I think Charles Brandon's son is horrid! At least he finally seemed to show some reverence instead of exctement at the execution.

It was pretty emotional, this episdoe. LIke you, if found the Charles Brandon son thing pretty disturbing. First that scene where it looked like the child stabbed his father, then it was off to the execution to watch someone get their head sliced off.

He's a child and I'd say that watching Anne's murder changed his viewpoint on killing considerably.

His father, Cromwell, Henry, the Seymours - they're the horrible ones.

Natalie Dormer has been consistently amazing as Anne from the beginning but she surpassed herself in this episode. She showed the dignity with which Anne faced her death and the faith that sustained her as she waited for her execution but at the same time, she showed a very human Anne struggling with her distress over her coming death, occasionally grasping at straws in the hopes that she will live but knowing, in her heart, that she's doomed.
