but then again I would too, walking in on her husband tramping it up with a lady she already had suspisions about.
Didnt it look as if she almost was gonna leave the room and avoid the whole confrontation but then she just cannot. Or just me?

the king is gonna be excommunicated from the church and then that leaves his reign and place as king nullified and void. The Pope announcing to the King of France he would follow through with the excommunication , asked him to invade england.
The emperor is suddenly trying to work with Henry also, with the thought of henry betrothing mary off to his son. Henry basically told anne he was and she looked like someone slapped her when he says how can they talk about elizabeths betrothal when mary isnt yet bethrothed herself?
And Jane. Here comes another snake in the grass. I think shes as bad as Anne and is playing the same game Anne played with the whole I cant accept these gifts without marriage bleh bleh. Henry is pedifily towards jane as well and its kinda strange. George admited he was sleeping with a man to jane (gee no wonder she turns on him, not that the but rape wasnt enough)The king gets hurtt during a jousting. Wow. He was in a coma and they didnt know if he would live. Elizabeth was getting ready to be queen at what 3? Makes one wonder what would have happened if he hadnt woke up.
Anne walks in on Jane and Henry, she goes CRAZY. Henry told Jane, I think its best you leave now. DUH!! Henry did try and calm her down but she still went into labor and lost the baby. He was so pissed too bc it was a boy(Or so they thought, if you see in the episode Jane, George's wife thinks its not that they just went to another faulty astronomer) and blames her and then says its obvious he was seduced by witchcraft and the proof was God not allowing him male issues. Im glad anne told him that it was not all her fault.
So now we know Henry is going to claim witch craft bc anne didnt have a male heir and his proof is god wont allow it bc she seduced him with witchcraft. The Spanish ambassador (cant rememberh is name) and cromwell also arent any help as they are plotting to remove the "Obstacle" (Anne) from what the Emperor wants.

It’s so good I am not alone w/ already seeing episode 8. Aren't you ready for 9??? It’s going to be soooo good.

I loved Anne’s performance when she catches Henry w/ Jane on his lap. I think it showed her strength and will towards standing up against the King. He ended up kissing her behind, and later blaming her for the miscarriage. Then I love when Anne, tells him that he has his self to blame for stress her out, and breaking her heart seeing him with that tramp Jane Seymour b/c of the love she bares him.

O I KNOW!!!

I think that Henry had a real love for Anne but couldnt wait anymore for a son, he felt his time was passing fast. I think that's why Anne felt so brave with him, yelling at him and talking back and not giving up her fight for him to re-approach the Emperor about Elizabeth.
Im pretty Crazy but I know my Husband loves me so he puts up with it - She thought her husband loved her.

She stood up to her father too - finally! - at the end of Episode Seven. I loved it when she told him that her becoming Queen wasn't just down to the work of her male relatives, that she had something to do with it too, even if it did break my heart that she was speaking of Henry's love and respect for her in the past tense. She also stood up to Cromwell over the issue of the monasteries because she felt that he was in the wrong.

Until now, Anne has been treated as a pawn by her family, her father in particular. At least three of the men in her life (husband, father and uncle) have intimidated her at various points and I believe that she is genuinely frightened of what will happen to her if something happens to Henry and Mary succeeds him. Earlier in the series, she was protected by Henry's love for her but now I think that she knows that she can't count on him, or on her father so she has to learn to stand up for herself and for Elizabeth.

I wonder how much of a part his accident played in that. I'm sure that he must have thought about what would happen if he died and that he would know that if he had, he would have left behind three potential heirs;

(1) Mary, almost twenty, acknowledged as heiress for most of her life with blood ties to the Emperor,
(2) Elizabeth, aged two, his heiress under the law (unless she had a brother) but considered illegitimate by many, both in England and internationally,
and (3) Anne's and his unborn child who, like Elizabeth, would carry a stain of illegitimacy, though its position would be stronger if it was a boy.

Best case scenario, Anne would carry their child to term and make him the father of a healthy posthumous son. If the Act of Succession was followed, it would mean Regency for Anne for eighteen years, then the son's reign, with Elizabeth as heiress presumptive to her brother until he married and had a child. If the child was stillborn, then Elizabeth would be Henry's legal heir and Anne would hold the Regency for nearly sixteen years. If Elizabeth died before she was old enough to marry and have a child of her own (as many children did back then) what then?

Mary would have her own supporters and could also make a play for the throne, with the Emperor's backing. Fitzroy would also be a possible claimant.

With Katherine dead, Henry would be free to marry again if Anne was out of the picture. If his next wife bore a son, nobody in England or abroad would contest his right to rule. At the time of his accident, he was a matter of months away from his forty-fifth birthday, less than eight years younger than his father was when he died.

Yes! I think his accident made it a much Clearer Reality now. . . Like the doctor was telling him, although you are a young man you are not as young as you USED to be.

I will miss Natalie also. I think the last thing I saw her in was Buffy(She was DRUCILLA, right? I have thought that since the second I saw her.) when I was in HS and now she comes out and plays such a dramatic realistic part, I dont want to see her go either!

Yes, one can imagine how lonely and desperate Anne felt toward the end. I think it's great in the series that she finally stands up to her father and Cromwell and rejects being a pawn; however, I think it's the pregnancy that is giving her the strength to say what she needs to say. Unfortunately, as we all know, her fate was sealed once she miscarried, especially considering that Catherine had just died and Henry was no longer burdened with two wives.
I've mentioned many times that Anne was going through incredible hormonal changes during those three years she was officially married to Henry, but as Holly2 points out, she was also very much a victim of the patriarchal society in which she had been born.
Isn't it wonderful that Anne's daughter Elizabeth was able to rule in her own right and was not subject (at least not to a great extent) to the tryanny of the men around her!!!

yes it was wonderful that she stood her ground and at the end decided the direction her life would take cause thats how she wanted to live it not cause thats how someone else order her to live it. She never married or had children and that was her choice.

Yes, they do take some historical license with the series, but I've seen much worse with movies like "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Elizabeth: The Golden Age". Those two movies are enough to drive a true historian of the era crazy.

I'm basically proud of Anne for standing up to Henry. She showed Henry that she does not tolerate him being with another woman and the fact that they are married and have a daughter and another child on the way plus 9 times out of 10, it was basically Henry's fault that Anne miscarried the child because he knew that it hurted her to see him love another woman than herself. So, like Anne said Henry had no one to blame but himself for the loss of their son and heir.

Plus I loved how Henry's look on his face when Anne told him the truth because he knew it was true. He knew it was his fault and all. He had no one to blame but himself.

True, butt then unfortunately he makes a public spectacle of punishing Anne, I guess to convince himself otherwise.

Her creepy dad dang near tears her face off in episode 9, and after he walks to Anne's mirror, and starts grooming himself.

Was Anne's last miscarriage embryo noted to be deformed in reality? Per epi-9 they did an autopsy, and found this out.
