What about Peter O'Toole???
Sunday, 11:38 AM EDT I have gotten a charge out of Peter O'toole's portayal of Pope Paul III. This superb actor certainly has longevity and has acted in about 100 films. Who can forget A Lion in Winter and Beckett? I think many on the set of Tudors are probably in awe of him. Do you find this valuable? |

Actually I saw JRM & Peter being interviewed together and JRM said he had a poster of Lawrence of Arabia on his bedroom door. He was an idol of JRM's growing up and here they are acting on the same show. Do you find this valuable? |

He keeps getting work the older her gets. He also played a poignant King Priam in the recent "Troy" Christopher Lee, another one of my favorites, is still getting roles at 81 e.g. "the Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Star Wars", etc.; he is still so handsome and distinguished looking. Do you find this valuable? |

I swear, when the Roman IMPERIAL general was up there going on about democracy, I could do nothing but laugh hysterically into my popcorn bag...speaking of which, JRM and Anne was on my popcorn bag when I watched Iron Man!!!!! NICE!!!!). But O'Toole acted well in that, too. He was the only bright spot in a horrid movie (I believe that was him in). Do you find this valuable? |

Peter O'toole co-starred in that film with Richard Burton. It was a beautiful speaking voice orgy with the 2 of them together. JRM and Peter O'Toole are both Irish so I'm happy to hear JRM reveres O'Toole Do you find this valuable? |

They were well-matched adversaries. Eleanor was a strong woman, too. Do you find this valuable? |

Monday, 4:46 PM EDT "Semper Eadem,Wow, I was totally wrong about O'Toole being in that...he wasn't. It was Ben Kinsgley ( I know, how did I mix those two up? Late night...) The Last Legend was another attempt at the old Arthurian legend. And a bad one at that! Do you find this valuable? |

Tuesday, 8:00 AM EDT "Frankly, I think the world would stop. LOL"Women have to be strong. What about childbirth? Men probably couldn't handle it. Strength is in our DNA! Back to O'Toole: I love the lines he delivers as the Pope in this series. He carries them off beautifully. Do you find this valuable? |
