"Having seen several of her films, that's my opinion. And it is constructive. She is perhaps one of the most over-rated actresses.

I'm actually not a Tudors-watcher. I don't get Showtime. I plan on watching Sarah's performances on Tudors, but other than that, I couldn't really care less about the casting. And I don't mean that rudely. Just the truth."
Firstly, we do try to keep our opinions civil, and generally we do not swear - there is truly no need for it. As you said-we all have our opinions, but it is truly curious that you would bother to join and post on a Tudor fan site. You may find your comments constuctive, but I find them rather abrasive. Usually the debates involve the portrayal of a character, the historical innacuracies and the overall enthusiasm that most of us have for all things Tudor (not just the show). As the Lady Mary has yet to make her debut portrayed by Sarah Bolger it is rather incongurant to form such a single minded 'opinion'.
Perhaps after her first appearance we may all have an informed impression of her Lady Mary.

As Boudica has stated Trolling is not particularly welcomed here-if you have an opinion that is not based solely on the fact that a particular actress is dating someone you have an adoration for ( a little strange) then it will be most welcome.

You are right Boudicca named after a warrior Queen, Sarah bolger will be greath i will be interested and interesting for all to see her maltreatment and bad treatment from her father and Anne Boleyn, she is pretty first time she is played by a more pretty actress as she is often to awful or to staunchly and devilish when her father was more of that and many other Kings, but well enough of tht, she will be great and I hope we see her hardship and that of her mother and how she suffers, we hope we see a good portrayal, good and not bias as Elizabeth with Cate Blanchet and ALL the other MINISERIES AND MOVIES of her, this will be better, me hopes. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. I don't see what's so strange about me watching it because of Sarah even though I hate her.

I love Freddie, therefore I want to know what's happening in his life. Sarah is in his life, therefore I'm very curious about her and I want to know things about her. I want to know how good of an actress she is for one.

Yes, she is saying the correct thing, and even so i just don´t understand how can be somebody so close minded, and actually say that you are going to watch something just because she is dating somebody that you like because is important to you, you don´t even know the guy. try to find something more constructive to do with your time

Elizabeth11- I think that perhaps you are confusing me (Melanie) and what Curlyrain said in response to my post with sarahbolgerhater and her rather odd hatred of Ms. Bolger due to her relationship with a male sarahbolgerhater happens to admire.
I quoted sarahbolgerhater-then responded to her in my own post. Thank you, Melanie

"Sarah is dating my lovey (Freddie Highmore)

Therefore I hate her, and I'm very curious about everything she does "
Freddie Highmore? Seriously? Since when did he become such a heartthrob?
I don't get it, then again he's jail bait for me so he's off limits anyway. :P

Kudos DarkLadyWitch11. I think she'll bring something new to the table we desperately need - a fresh, more honest portrayl of Mary (hopefully!). Plus, there have been so few portrayls of Mary in her YOUTH. The only one that comes to mind is Alison Frazer in "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" with Keith Michell. (Watch clips here on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rr7b7eKV0Xw ) From what I saw, it was a good attempt. Frazer made Mary out to be a pretty, confused, frightened but weaker willed than her mother the late Queen Katherine, and from what I've read that seems to have been accurate. But I hope Sarah Bolger gets to show some of Mary's firey side when she stands up to Anne Boleyn (hopefully they'll show that in The Tudors).

You have to be a heartthrob to date Sarah? *raises eyebrow*
Sarah is honestly growing uglier and uglier by the second. And as Freddie hits puberty, he's getting hotter and hotter by the second (he's 16 now you know)

But Mary does stand up to Anne in this season. There was a review that said that Mary said stuff to Anne. I thought it was this one ( http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/detail/index.jsp?uuid=171a116f-b0bb-47de-917a-070197d3ed49&sid=fd-kristin)
but I just read over it and didn't see it, so it must be another one.

I'll look for it later today

Boudica didn't say someone had to be a heart throb to date Sarah..she said : "Since when did he become such a heartthrob? " I think she was referring to your obsession with the young whipper snapper. LOL

Thank you Squirely that's exactly what I meant, and said. I've noticed in teen mags that Freddie is in them and it confuses me because.... his voice hasn't droped yet! I'm sorry but, 16 or no, he's still very young looking for his age and 16 is still jail bait.

I guess I sometimes forget that children post here also, so I tend to respond to all posters as adults. This was brought home by sarahbolgerhater's obsession with aother child-16? Good Heavens, my youngest child is 19 (but as he is a serious scholar- he is rarely as shallow as most young people)! Melanie 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Not only that but isn't The Tudors rated TV-MA? Isn't it a wee bit graphic for a viewer under 17? My opinion ofcourse, if one's parents think their child is mature enough to view it then I don't care, just wondering outloud.

Actually there are several teenaged posters on this wiki. Some of them are quite knowledgeable about the tudor period.....but yes, the show certainly has adult "themes". 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I certainly welcome posters of any age who have constructive insight into either the show or the Tudor history, but it seems as if our latest young poster has a rather obvious hatred of a particular actress-hence her name. I would much rather see the said actress in her role before making any comment as to her abilities (or lack therein). Melanie 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Ditto. I know I had a very deep interest in the Tudors at a very young age, but I know for a fact I wouldn't have been comfortable with the stake burning scenes at 14 (when I first started reading about the Tudors). But if the posters out there that are in their teenage years are okay with it and mature enough for it, more power to them.

I think you're right, she's probably going to be shown in episode 3 or 4 after Elizabeth is born. I can't wait!!!! :D

Whenever she appears, I look forward to it. Here is girl who was raised as a Princess and sole heir to the throne only to become a bastard while watching her mother being rejected by her father after 14 years of marriage. She was so young at the time and torn between her 2 parents. Henry viewed her as willful child because she could not recognize Anne as Queen, How she is portrayed on the series should be very interesting, Many historians agree that "the Great Matter " had a profound effect on her and stripped her of her youthful exuberance,
