That's just a page about the historical tudors....if you want to find more pics on the series, check the menu for "Characters" and you will find a profile here : http://tudorswiki.sho.com/page/Charles+Brandon%2C+1st+Duke+of+Suffolk plus many attached pages of pics from the series. If you have trouble finding anything, also check the 2nd page called SITEMAP that has everything in alphabetical order. The site is pretty big now, over 1200 pages and more than 10,000 images.

Official Tudors card set
If you are looking for a list of the characters for each season, you can check the site map here : http://tudorswiki.sho.com/page/SITEMAP+of+the+Tudors+Wiki or there is the Index to the full cast and characters list here : http://tudorswiki.sho.com/page/INDEX+to+the+full+cast+of+the+Tudors
There are a lot of characters, we had to decide which ones to keep in each season....so Season 1 belonged to Katherine of Aragon and Season 2 belonged to Anne Boleyn, season 3 Jane Seymour and Anne of cleves and 4 will be Catherine Parr and Katherine Howard.
But like Neta said, there are two actresses who played Jane and Henry VIII and Charles Brandon have been in all seasons and have aged and looked different in each ..so how are you going to decide which Henry to use?

Has anyone seen a Tudor ghost?
Ok . but it may take several postings. Here goes. This is what was published at the end of my novel Tudor Rose in the author notes.
'So many times I have heard the phrase ‘truth is often stranger than fiction’ but, as a writer of fiction, I have paid this old adage little notice. That is, until now.
When I first clapped eyes on Gainsborough Old hall I fell hopelessly in love with the building. I even applied for the post of ‘Keeper’ there but had to settle instead for a role as an active member of its ‘Friends ‘group and a voluntary guide. And as the building was in desperate need of more visitors, I fool hardily suggested that I might write my first ever novel about it!
In that first book, one of the central characters was the real life matriarch of the Hickman family who owned the Hall in the early 1600’s. Her name is Lady Rose and a very stern looking portrait of her still hangs in the Great Upper Chamber of the house. It was this painting that intrigued me into trying to bring this long dead woman back to life. There was something about her that I simply could not resist and yet I had no idea why. All I could find out about Puritan Lady Rose Hickman was that she and her late husband, Anthony, had been imprisoned during the reign of Bloody Queen Mary for helping Protestants escape the country. And that she had later helped shelter the Pilgrim Fathers in the Old Hall during the time of their persecution by King James and that she had written an account of her life in her old age which I was told was now ‘presumed lost’. At any rate, up until the time of writing, no one connected with the Old hall, past or present, can tell me anything more about Lady Rose than this.
The Mayflower Maid sold extremely well and was voted amongst the best reads of 2005 by listeners of BBC Radio 4’s Open Book and so I quickly wrote the sequel, Jamestown Woman, and then finally the third novel in the set, Restoration Lady.

Is there any song that reminds you of the Tudors?
Is there any song out there that reminds you of a particular Tudor character?
I got to thinking about this as I was listening to Coldplay's "Viva la Vida." I would bet good money that the song is about Napoleon Bonaparte (really good money), but the song reminds me of Henry VIII, too. Granted, he never "swept the streets he used to own," but I believe he was lonely in his later life, despite Catherine Parr. Check out the lyrics here: http://www.metrolyrics.com/viva-la-vida-lyrics-coldplay.html
I also think of Elizabeth I when I listen to Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway." And I think of Mary when I hear Kelly Clarkson' s "Because of You." Does anyone else do this, or I am I the only weird one here?

BOOKOPHILE TRIVIA
I just got a new bookcase, so my books are more organized than usual. I have two shelves of history books including Tudor-era books, the top shelves are all spirituality and non-fiction books on feminist issues, then the shelves at the bottom are all fiction, from classics to more current character-driven novels ("Cane River" stands out as a recent read which was just amazing ). I also have stacks of books that wouldn't fit on the sides of the bookcase. Then on a chest next to my bed I have stacks of books I either started and couldn't get into, or books I've purchased and are waiting to be read. Anytime I think I'll want a book I just buy it at the time and keep it on my "to be read" chest, that way when I'm ready for a new book, I have a lot to choose from depending on what I'm in the mood for. I have about 30-40 books stacked up there. And then there are the magazines.... =D

Ideas for novels to read?
Hey all-
Does anybody have suggestions for novels to read regarding the Tudor period? Actual novels, not biographies- novels like Phillpa Gregory or Alison Weir's "Innocent Traitor", or Jean Plaidy's novels. I like to read it with a little flair and dialogues! Suggestions are welcome! I want to read more.
Thanks!

Episode 8 : What Phillip is courting Princess Mary?
No, you guys THINK you know who Phillip was. The fact is that Princess Margaret WAS a real life person, but she did NOT marry Charles Brandon, Princess Mary DID yes? And Princess Margaret's first husband was NOT the king of Portugal as it is shown in The Tudors. In fact neither princesses had married a Portugese monarch.
The writers of The Tudors have frequently taken REAL characters and blended them for plot purposes. Would having a young handsome PROTESTANT suitor who loved Catholic Mary make viewers want the series to continue or not?
Of course it does...and it obviously got a whole thread going as to who this star cross lover could have been. Please take your last sentence...do you REALLY believe that Catholic Mary would have been betrothed to a Protestant duke that her own father kicked out? That was a time when the only person who could have really pulled the nation together to dethrone Henry was Mary. She refused to do so because of her mother and her faith. To allow her to come under the influence of a protestant that didn't believe in the absolute God-given power of monarchs would have been beyond stupid. If a Protestant Phillip did exist, it is highly improbable that Mary would be engaged to him; either in words or deeds. Those who buy that she did is using this century's logic, not Henry's.

Why Thomas Boleyn Survived
"Because he was an uncaring selfish soul who only care about himself, i hope he died a lonely death" If you are talking about the Tudors character played evilly and briliantly by Nick Dunning, then I can understand your comment but if you are referring to the real historical Thomas Boleyn, then I would direct you to look at comment #37 on this thread to see what he was really like.

Elizabeth I honors her mother, Anne Boyelyn
"Aww thats sweet. I always felt really sorry for Elizabeth and Edward, they barely knew their mothers. I know that Mary was seperated from her's but at least she had some happy memories of her. I know Elizabeth had a picture of her mother in a ring she always wore. I always thought that was touching. Edward apparently had loads of documents in his private rooms about Jane. He was always asking people about her. At least he could talk about his mother, poor Elizabeth couldn't. I also think it's sad that that they could feel responsible for their mothers' deaths. I don't know if Elizabeth did, but i mean if she was born a son then she probably wouldn't have been executed. I wonder if she ever thought about that. But it certainly applies to Edward, it really seemed to eat away at him that he was 'responsible' for his mother's death. I know they shouldn't blame themselves, but you know how people can be racked up with guilt for things that aren't even their fault. Poor children :(
Did Mary have any reminders or possessions of Catherine?" In The Tudors we see Mary going through some of her mother's possessions---we know that Katherine left some things to Mary. Who on wiki knows if they were taken from her or not? Re: Elizabeth talking about her mother (later) I brought up this subject on another thread and members said she did not because of politics...but I still find it intriguing, because Elizabeth was so outspoken and given to tantrums and rages, etc., blurting out things all of the time while queen. She alluded often to her father (as being his daughter). As I read my current book I will make sure to mark any instances where AB was brought up. But I can't even find her in the index!

James and His Movies
"What movies/etc. have you seen of James? What ones do you want to see? Which ones are your most loved/ most hated?" OMG you'll never believe what movie of his i missed the other day - Reindeer Games, me boyfriend was watching it and didn't even tell me it was on, so upset Maggie! I've seen him in Elizabeth, and he reminded me of Ambassador Chapuys when i saw him in the Tudors. I would love to see Where the Heart Is as Natalie Portman is my fave actress, and having Jimmy there would be the cherry on the cake, haha!
