Some historians & authors say it is this mans fault both his neices were beheaded because of his desire to have a Howard on the throne... If it's true then i hate him. He played his neices (Anne Boleynm Katherine Howard, Mary Boleyn, Jane Rockford) like stupid worthless pawns & steps on stairs. YUCKY! I'm glad women have more power now & are not considered to be just for family advancement. Thank god the man finally died. I hate how he used Anne especially.

Yes, I won't recommend heading up to Buckingham Palace and saying to the guards, "Excuse me, have those ill-breed tenants who call themselves "the Windsors" shown out, the real king of England has arrived." :P Thanks for sharing your family's story! One of the things I find most rewarding about geneology is that you often learn stories that don't make it into the history books. I've heard of Margaret Douglas, but I never heard about her relation to the other Thomas Howard, much less that they had a son! And if you haven't seen a portrait of her yet, here's one in the Royal Collection of her in her later years.
