Since season two has ended racking up such a high body count, it's only logical the writers and creators are bringing in fresh characters to replace the absent characters we've come to love (Smeaton, Anne Boleyn, Katherine of Aragon, More, Fisher, Wolsey, George Boleyn, etc.). Production as many of you know has been going on for over a month now in Ireland and while Showtime is very tight-lipped about what the next season will bring, however, there have been leaks on the internet from reputable sources. Here's what we know so far, if you don't want to read "spoilers" READ NO FURTHER.
Charlotte Salt, who we have suspected to have been cast as a "love interest" of Henry VIII has been cast in the role of a fictional mistress named Lady Ursula Misseldon. She will be appearing in five episodes as a muse of the artist Hans Holbein, which means we get to see more Peter Gaynor! Salt's character also catches the eye of a new couriter on the scene, Sir Francis Bryan who will be played by Canadian actor Alan Van Sprang. (See Bryan's new character page for more details: http://tudorswiki.sho.com/page/Francis+Bryan?t=anon ) Also, according to Tudors News, casting is looking for July newborns to play Prince Edward! Which means, if the writers follow their history, Jane will die this season. http://thetudorsnews.wordpress.com/2008/07/09/chance-for-a-newborn-to-be-a-star-of-the-tudors/ And that's all the news I know of for now, please feel free to add to the new cast and character pages as they come up and add to this thread with more season 3 details! |

I personally hate that there is a new woman playing Jane Seymour. I liked Anita Briem and thought she was sweet looking. And when I get used to seeing a certain face it's hard to picture anyone else.

Hi all! I'm new here but I had to join and let you guys know (since no one has posted it yet) that it's looking likely that they've replaced Anita Briem as Jane Seymour. Pictures that have popped up on the net of them filming Henry & Jane's wedding show a different actress playing Jane. Aso, I believe the Daily Mail is reporting this new actress, Annabelle Wallis, is Jane. I personally hate when they change actors once a character has been introduced but what are you gonna do.

Of course she HAS to be blonde. It would be unthinkable for her to be her actual brunette wouldn't it?
