"yes i think he portrayed wolsey well, and in later years wolsey was known to have indulged himself in court life, and gained weight, so he waddled somewhat, i think sam neil played that part well . whilst he was not fat, he strutted around like an overfed pampered toad of the court and henry did indeed look to him for everything.

i do not think that wolsey was really guilty as such, from what i have read...
He was a yes man to the king and had no serious courage of his convictions like More or KOA and was not loyal to the pope but he had alot of enemies as did all who grew closer to the king, rising up from nothing and persuading his majesty into the lifestyles for their own gain, like Cromwell.

After cromwell, the king promised himself he would never be swayed by opinion of others again!!!!
He also stated something similar after wolsey's death, but in the book im reading it claims he did have moments of nostalgia toward Thomas wolsey
as he did for Thomas more, he would remember good things about both, and even came to blame anne for their downfalls.
Especially thomas more, who really did nothing wrong atall other than stick to his faith and disagree with the kings desire to be head of the church"

I think I find so much admiration in Thomas More. I would so have signed the oath whether I agree'd to it or not. In my heart I would have felt God knew my true intentions and that my children needed me. But he put God first before all other Kings. The only King he answered to was our Lord. I will purchase the book about him as soon as it is released in the US. Right now Im working on the Constant Princess, the Rise and Fall of AB and Elizabeth 1. As well as a fictional series about vampires lol. So I shall be reading for quite sometime. But the constant princess and the Rise and Fall of AB I must finish reading because those are from the library,
Next up will be the Boleyn Inheritence.
