Ok so I totally had to recant my thoughts of Ray Winstone as Thomas Howard when I saw Sam Waterston and Bill Nighy up there... also fantastic choices! Alex Kingston would make a great Katherine of Aragon, too, but I still had to post N.K. as I think she could also seriously rock the part. I had never seen Scarlett Pomers before but WOW she looks like a young Uma Thurman! Uma herself might make a cool choice for a role, perhaps as Katherine Parr... Who are among your fave picsk??

Robert Shaw who portrayed. a younger Henry VIII in "A Man for All Seasons" depicted an aspect of the king that was attractive. His Henry is boyishly charming and spontaneous with a twinkle and a hint of danger in his eye. His charming manner to the ladies is also evident in his exchanges with Susannah York''s Margaret More, the daughter of Sir Thomas. Of course, an effort was made to make the actor resemble Henry, at least in coloring and style of dress, although at 5'10" Shaw was considerably shorter than the 6'2" Henry.
