Is there any song that reminds you of the Tudors?
Is there any song out there that reminds you of a particular Tudor character?
I got to thinking about this as I was listening to Coldplay's "Viva la Vida." I would bet good money that the song is about Napoleon Bonaparte (really good money), but the song reminds me of Henry VIII, too. Granted, he never "swept the streets he used to own," but I believe he was lonely in his later life, despite Catherine Parr. Check out the lyrics here: http://www.metrolyrics.com/viva-la-vida-lyrics-coldplay.html
I also think of Elizabeth I when I listen to Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway." And I think of Mary when I hear Kelly Clarkson' s "Because of You." Does anyone else do this, or I am I the only weird one here?

What comes around goes around
I think it is quite annoying that they are dragging the beheading of Anne. There are two reasons for it: One I dont like the character Anne Boleyn and second I'm starting to get the feeling that some episodes are just there as an insertion. We see it happen on all showes that make an sucess. Series 1 was a hit and therefore the second is slowed down with some main scenes. I really enjoyed series 1 and I really like the Tudors a lot. However I just think that this is a minor minus. Since my earlier topic got feedback I would like to add another point. As a wrote earlier I cant wait to see Jane bring Anne down. However I agree that Jane is not innocent. However Anne gets the same threatment as she showed Cathrine. What comes around goes around ! She got what she deserved. Queen Cathrine seems to be the only innocent queen so far and the victim of the other vicious woman and the Bolyen family.

Ideas for novels to read?
Hey all-
Does anybody have suggestions for novels to read regarding the Tudor period? Actual novels, not biographies- novels like Phillpa Gregory or Alison Weir's "Innocent Traitor", or Jean Plaidy's novels. I like to read it with a little flair and dialogues! Suggestions are welcome! I want to read more.
Thanks!
