Season Finale Blooper
"I noticed that at the beginning fo the episode 10, when Henry was dictating his letter to the Emperor of Spain to Cromwell, that he called the Emperor "Nephew". Did anyone else notice this. I thought it kind of funny, since having annulled his marriage to Katherine, the Emperor could not be Henry's nephew. Is Henry just doing this to suck up to the emperor in order to get his alliance, because if so he's opening up a can of worms or did the writers just slip up?" no not a blooper....Henry is reclaiming his family ties with him since Katherine has died and now he can consider himself a widower because he plans to annul his marriage to Anne which I believe is what he was telling his "nephew" by marriage (to Katherine)

The Second Season DVD Release
"The American version of the season one dvd was without bloopers and other versions had them as part of the special features. I'm really hoping that season two has this and that we don't get a bunch of promotionals for other shows like we did the first go around.
" Yes, I was also very disappointed with the American season 1 dvd set. I didn't buy it, just rented it from Netflix, I'm glad I did! All the "goodies" I was anticpating were on the last disc with one episode - the finale. The tour of Tudor London and the bit on costumes was nice, but really that was it! If I'm to buy the boxed set for season 2, I would like to see more cast and director / writer commentary, behind the scenes: where and why they shot in Ireland ( I already know why, but they could humor me with more details!), sneak peak at next season or atleast what to expect, commentary by a Tudor historian during episodes would also be nice, interviews with Natalie, JRM, Doyle Kennedy, O'Toole and Northam would also be good, bloopers, I think are all good ideas.

New Members Introduce yourself here
This is a delightful site, glad I found out how to join:) I enjoy reading about this period of history and am happy to say I'm hooked on "The Tudors", haven't been this excited about a TV series since "Twin Peaks"! The costumes are breathtaking. I have enjoyed being introduced to actors such as Nick Dunning, Jeremy Northam and Natalie Dormer, through watching this series. I have read about and viewed quite a few TV shows (History Channel, 6 Wives of Henry VIII, The Other Boleyn Girl, etc) on Henry VIII and his six wives and am very impressed with Ms. Dormer's interpretation of Anne Boleyn; she really hit the mark in bringing out Anne's complexities and her humanity (if I see one more portrayal of AB with sinisterly arched eyebrows and a sneer on her face I think I'll puke) and kudos to the directors for giving her the freedom to do that. Ms. Dormer has a very bright future and I look forward to seeing more of her work. I wish Nick Dunning had been given more to work with, his Thomas Boleyn seems (to me anyway) to be reduced to a nagging shrew/angry pimp with Anne (and everyone else) in the second season (so far; we have yet to watch him lose his children to the executioner's block). I wish I knew more about Mr. Dunning and his work (yes he's incredibly sexy...I'm a sucker for men with white hair), and Jeremy Northam's performance is riveting. I really enjoyed the Tudors bloopers, I sensed that Mr. Northam is a ham and the outtakes confirm it! I guess I've babbled on enough for now, looking forward to the next few episodes and hopefully beyond!
