caitthequeen kitty howard--the tudor lolita? 6 Jun 20 2009, 8:38 PM EDT by angelosdaughter

watching the last scene of the tudors season three finale, the scene where kitty's naked on a swing, i had a moment of "omgosh, LOLITA!" referring, of course, to the book by vladimir nabokov. i am a HUGE fan of lolita, its my favourite, and in that moment, kitty reminded so vividly of lo! especially in adrian lyne's film (put out by showtime, doesn't that figure?) anyways, what do the rest of you think about this?

The show is actually being fairly accurate...The King loved Kitty's silly girlish nature. That's why he married her! She was the complete opposite of Anne of Cleves, his previous wife, who was womanly and very German (her gowns, mannerisms and speech all were very foreign to the Tudor Court and therefor a "turn off", for lack of a better term, for the King....although these traits allowed her to live...) Kathryn made him feel like a young king again. She flirted and giggled and amused him...she reminded him of his chase for Anne, but without the "witchcraft".
