"I haven't seen the full movie, just the clips that were posted before they were taken down for copyright reasons, and I wasn't impressed enough to want to see the rest. To be fair it is low budget and the filming style is very "experimental" as they've stated in the article, but the music is very soap opera like and the acting all around is ridiculously overdone. The result was I found myself laughing at parts that were supposed to be very serious (like the execution of Anne Boleyn) because they were so over the top (Anne laughs manicly because her blindfold slipped off and after her neck is cut this kid who happens to be standing behind her stares horrified at a drop of blood that landed on his face). Honestly some of these problems could have been remedied without much extra money (script and music could have been less overdramatic and campy).

But if you're a real Mary fan I think you should see the full movie anyway because as you've said it's high time Mary got her due, and Miranda French looks perfect as the role of Queen Mary. Plus the costumes and locations where the filmed are perfect. I'm hopping although this film isn't perfect that it draws attention to Mary Tudor and how interesting and compelling her life was. She deserves more movies and books, that's for sure!"
