Does anyone know the motto's that Mary Tudor and Margaret Tudor had while Queen of France and Queen of Scotland? I haven't been able to find it anywhere and would really like to know. Also, did Arthur have a motto while Prince of Wales because Katherine of Aragon had 'Not For My Crown' while Princess of Wales so I presume Arthur must have had one as well? If anyone knows, it would be really appreciated

Who wrote this poem and is it published?:
Softly Love and to love softly Dew on a sycamore branch By the creaking gate And my heart hurries off To wince through the path of wheat Along the briar to that stone Under which I lie

Can someone please explain to me, properly, why the producers didn't introduce both Mary and Margaret, and don't give me the pathetic excuse of 'they didn't want to confuse Mary, the King's sister, with Mary, the King's daughter' (if that's a legitimate excuse, then they wont introduce Anne of Cleves, incase of confusing her with Anne Boleyn, or Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr, incase of confusing them with Katherine of Aragon or with each other! i know their second names are different, but hardly anyone's second name is mentioned when addressed by their title). Does anyone agree that the show could have done with the support from both of Henry's sisters, 'cause let's face facts, their descendant are well known people, Mary Queen of Scots and Jane Grey for example!

Ok! Now I'm confused totally. Please, the pictures up above? Look real close... The picture you have of The Brandon's, looks like Margaret's pic and Mary's pic look's more like Margaret. Also, which one was CB really married too? Also, where can I find a pic of Brandon and Catherine because I was told that pic was Catherine and Brandon's wedding pic up above. Now the pic of MaryTudor looks to me like Mary Tudor not Margaret Tudor. Please help me with my delema, I have to change my Profile pics.
Thank you Desilee. PS I did'nt know that much of Henry's sister's I was learning about this part of Henry's life. I have learned a lot on this site. That's what we are here for I think?

"The Tudors" writers making the decision to blend the historical personas of Margaret and Mary Tudor, sisters to the king, into one character, is, in my opinion, the worst chracter decision they made. (Well, that and turning George Boleyn into a homosexual with Mark Smeaton, who rapes his wife Jane, and all contemporary accounts of are so far from either of these characteristics that they chose to attribute to him. I think they did this to give an easy explanation to Jane Parker testifying against her husband. ). Gabrielle Anwar had a great challenge in having to play a character that was a blend of both sisters, to an audience who knew better. The writers could have had an even better story by portraying both sisters, and their different relationships with their brother, King Henry. Did they really think we would be so confused with two characters named Mary? Especially when we can keep up with all the other Tudor intrigues! The show is truley wonderful, but the combination Mary/Margaret still bugs me to this day!

If you were Henry's sister, commanded to go to another country and marry a man you had never met, how would you deal with it? Would you go reluctantly, kicking and screaming, or obediently, determining to "close your eyes and think of England"? How would you adjust to a new culture and what would you do to learn the language, customs, or make friends?

As this character is completely "made up" there is no reason to support it. Or to waste my time or my fellows fans here to look up for information.
Please consider reviewing it. The sooner the better. If not you wiil be mocked, and it would be a pity, the TV show is somehow based "on factual history" adhere to it or rather take the time to think about writing a screenplay of your "own". I know, I know, it more risky and difficult, well...life is not easy.!! With all due respect.
