| | Scene: Anne is with her newborn baby Elizabeth, when Henry visits her and seems truly disappointed.
Anne: "I'm so sorry"
Henry: "You and I are both young and by God's grace boys will follow"
Comments : Henry did say this, but to Katherine, at this time in his life, Henry was most definitely not young. - hohumpigsbum
| | | Scene: After Anne miscarries, Henry visits her...
Henry: "You've lost my boy. Don't speak of it, the loss is too great. But I see now that God will not grant me any male children. When you are up I will speak with you"
Anne: "You have no one to blame but yourself for this.I was distressed to see you with that wench Jane Seymour, because the love I bear you is so great. It broke my heart to see you love the others.
Henry:"I said I will speak with you when you are well."
Comments:I think it was his fault too not just hers Henry was to blame for her miscarraige. he just couldn't wait until the baby was born he had to start going after another woman. | | | | Scene: After her brother's arrest Anne begs Henry...
Anne: "Henry please.Henry please. For the love you bear our child for the love of Elizabeth have mercy"
Henry:"You lied me, you've always lied me"
Anne:"NO"
Henry: "You were not a virgin when you married me. You are not what you seem.Your father and your brother arranged everything"
Anne: "No,I loved you, I loved you and I love you still. Please after all we have been to each other, after everything we were, please. One more chance, one more. Henry!! YOUR MAJESTY!! YOUR MAJESTY I BESEECH YOU!!!
Comments:These scene is really sad,i wonder what would had happen if Henry gave Anne one more chance. Yes her father and uncle arranged everything but Henry made it too easy for them. The Seymours did the same thing! He gives his affection so easily to the families of the woman he beds and marries that it is far too hard to resist taking advantage of that. He has no one to blame but himself. | | | | Scene: Cardinal Campeggio discusses a document with Pope Paul III that prevents enslavement of native people in the "new world" by European kings.
"The fact is, Campeggio, that the kings of Europe have power, but no morality. I must act as their conscience. They are my willful children, and I their father leading along the paths of righteousness...so help me God."
Later in this same scene (just a few seconds afterwards), when Campeggio discusses the appointment of Cranmer, Pope Paul III makes the following comment:
"What harm can a nobody inflict upon our holy church?"

| | | | Scene: Katherine to Henry at the Legatine Court in Blackfriars
"Sir I beseech you. For all the love that has been between us. Let me have justice & right. Give me some pity & compassion for I am a poor woman & a stranger born out of your dominion. I have no friend here & little counsel. I plea to you as head of justice in this realm. I call God and all the world to witness that I have been to you a true humble and obedient wife ever compliant to your will & pleasure. I have loved all those whom you have loved for your sake whether or not I had cause. Whether they be friends or enemies. By me you have had many children. Although it has pleased God to call them from this world. But when you had me at first , I take God as my judge, I was a true maid without touch of men. And whether or not it be true, I put it to your conscience."
Comments: These are the actual words that Katherine used at the court.
Shame they cut down Katherine's speech quite a bit, but well, Maria delivers it wonderfully, I think I've only seen one actress deliver it better - Frances Cuka (and she has the correct colouring for Katherine too)
| | | | Scene: Henry is dreaming about Anne.
"Seduce me. Write letters to me. And poems, I love poems. Ravish me with your words. Seduce me."
Comments: I really like the way they filmed this scene it was really nice. Plus Anne was looking hot here. | | | | Scene: Henry has dinner with Katherine in the Queen's chambers. Katherine expresses her love to her husband after the meal.
"I have never known another man....and nor would I ever want to."
Comments: This simple quote shows Katherine's utter devotion to her husband, even as far as to dismiss all others for him. -LNor19 | | [place picture here]
