Katherine Howard has to be my favourite wife of Henry VIII, her story is so fascinating and I think she had such a colourful, lively character. Her tragic end is truly heartbreaking, and she was only a typical, innocent teenage girl doing what her heart desired. I can totally understand how trapped she must have felt in her marriage, for she had an obese, bad tempered old monster for a husband, whilst there were attractive, virile young men all around her which she had to resist. Poor Katherine, I have so much respect and admiration for this incredible young woman who faced her horrific end with so much dignity and courage. Go Kitty! :)

It is well known that Catherine Howard, Henry VIII's 5th wife was first cousins with Anne Boleyn, wife # 2. After Anne's drastic downfall from trumped up charges and her very unhappy ending , why didn't Catherine take a few mental notes on what happens to those that displease the king and make it a point to act a bit more modestly and cautiously? I mean, deliberately flirting with and (allegedly) sleeping with Culpepper, a man in Henry's court? Apparently it really is true that those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it...

Its really cool but after watching the Katherine Howard part of the Final Years video. I do not think Michael Hirst is a big fan of Katherine Howard. Do you guys think that will affect her story line on the show.

Do you think that if Henry discovered Katherine Howard was using birth control (without knowing she had a lover), he would have punished or perhaps executed her? After all, his justification for the first 2 was the issue of heir. Everyone said that you needed at least 2 sons to feel safe that the dynasty would continue.
Do you think, given Kitty's follies, she would have settled down if she had a child?

We get to see naked Katherine Howard on her swing, and tantalizing Henry in other ways...it's too bad history has portrayed her as the eternal slut. I wonder: If she had not fooled around, do you think she would have matured into a good Queen? Or was she just too flighty by nature? What do you think?

I was just thinking will or will not Kathryn be potrayed younger than Mary, because in history she was in fact a couple years younger than Mary, but then the writers of The Tudors can stretch age gaps i.e making Henry and Anne Boleyn look the same age.

When Henry married the Rose Without a Thorn, she was supposedly a virgin. Later, we find she had carnal relations prior to their wedding...if you'll excuse a sensitive question, how is it that Henry did not figure this out?
An author who we will not mention by name (who writes a lot of bizarre hypothetical fiction) presents a scene where the lady who is supposedly not a virgin has a vial of blood which she spills at a convenient moment to trick Henry. It's been inferred that Henry was impotent at the time he married Kitty. I'm curious as to what our sharp wiki friends think really happened in the nuptial chamber.

If she makes an appearance in Season 3, what actress do you believe might portray Katherine Howard? And if Thomas Howard is erased for good as a character, does this mean a more conniving Katherine Howard will be portrayed on the show?

Finally, will we get a glimpse of the charming but dim Katherine Howard as she turns Henry into a simpering, besotted , fat, love toy? Alas, Ms Howard's moral fiber is not that of Anne's, and her naughty nocturnal escapes will prove her undoing. But alas, that's more for Season 4, which we all hope to relish as much as Season 1,2 and 3.
