HEY...I HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE LOOP SO TO SPEAK...I AMA BIG BIG KP FAN..I AM OK WITH MS. RICHARDSON PLAYING KP...AND YES SHE IS THE SISTER OF THE LATE NATASHA RICHARDSON....SHE COMES FROM A FAMILY OF WELL KNOWN AWARD WINNING ACTORS AND ACTRESSES. I HATED IT WHEN NATASHA DIED I SO LOVE LIAM NEESON (and I hate what his family and hers have gone through...To me this will help THE TUDORS gain more veiwers for season 4..I am not really happy with the Seymour choice but I feel Ms.richardson will help the Tudors and I think she will aldo be a great positive influence on out wonderful JRM....Good choice and I KNOW she will do a fantastic job as far as having a yopuger actress I think not since KPwas a little more mature when she married Henry I look forward to seeing what Hirst does with Richardsons script I FEEl it will be great script writing for KP part...or...why would Richardson take a part that would be bad for her...???!!?? I thing season 4 will not be a dud...KP and Henry will have a fantastic season ..love to all pookiesmama

Interesting choice for an actress to play Catherine Parr!!! I do look forward to seeing the next season even more now!! Joely Richardson,isn't she the sister of the late actress Natasha Richardson!

Does anyone know if there are candidates out there for Catherine Parr or if they have cast her yet? My favorite is Emma Thompson, but I'm sure she'd be too expensive...lol. She would be perfect, IMO

I happened on this book at the public library about 20 years ago and have never forgotten it or Catherine. "The Ivy Crown" by Mary Luke is a wonderful introduction to Catherine Parr if you're not familiar with her. Highly recommend it.

Catherine Parr the final queen should be portrayed by an actress that can also compliment JRM AND bring out more SOLID emotions from JRM (HE CAN DO IT)as Henry. She was the only one who could put up with Henry's MOODS and also she had to live with the thought that Henry COULD have her head cut off as well...Henry almost has her arrested Then he CHANGED his mind. Catherine HAD to have been a cunning woman. Henry and she had some great (with JRM HOT arguments)
I think that Catherine should be introduced at the end of season 4. season 5 devoted to Catherine Parr. You would have to use an entire season for this queen who took care of a madman, was made regent, helped raise and educate his children, was almost beheaded, AND Henry KNEW that Seymour wanted Catherine! What a great on going battle between Seymour and Henry. Before Catherine's husband died Henry was trying to beat Seymour for Catherines hand. ALSO Catherine wrote 2 books,one published (I think) after Henry's death, During her reign she had a few dangerous enemies IMAGINE the LAST episode Catherine facing Henry's death! LASTLY remember this Queen was a MAJOR influence on Elizabeth becoming her mother when she was around 10. Catherine Parr MOLDED a legendary queen...Elizabeth! There is a lot to do!!

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before but i've been thinking about this all day lol.
Henry prized virginity, we all know that. Most of the wives' downfall had some element of suspicion that they weren't virgins before they married him. So how come he married Catherine Parr? Surely if she had been married twice before you would expect her to have had sex with her husbands right? We never know, she may have even had a physical relationship with Thomas before Henry took a liking to her, i'm sure Henry knew they were in a relationship before he proposed to her so he could have had his doubts. So why did he kick up a fuss about Katherine Howard not being a virgin but didn't say anything about Catherine Parr even though it was likely (or was it?) that she wasn't a virgin either?
