"True, here is no evidence that Charles had an affairs on Catherine while they were married . However he could have, but if he did, he was very very discreet. By the time Charles Brandon married his ward Catherine he was already 50 years old. (I heard that Catherine might have been younger than 17. I heard she might have been 25, or 16. She was said to be a year, or two younger than his son Henry Brandon who she was originally suppose to married. " She was born in March 1519 or 1520 it seems. so she would have been 14 or 15, when she married. But she was older than his son, about four years. Charles Brandon and Mary Tudor had two sons named Henry, one born in 1516 (their first child), who died as a very young child and one born in 1522 (their fourth child), who was created Earl of Lincoln in 1525 and who died at the age of 11 in 1534. People think they were the same person, because they had the same name and they both died so young. But Maria Perry in her biography of Mary mentions two sons Henry and Charles Brandon's biographer Steven Gunn mentions two as well. Chapuys calls him 10 in 1533 when he writes to the emperor about the marriage between Brandon and Catherine and Hall in his chronicle mentions Henry Brandon being 2 years old at his creation Earl in 1525. That can't be the boy born in 1516, but it was the one Catherine was betrothed to.
