| News: February 14th, 2009 - Congratulations to The Tudors cast and crew for taking home six IFTA Awards! January 8th, 2009 - The Irish Film and Television Academy announced today the Tudors recieved eight IFTA nominations! The winners will be announced February 14th during the sixth annual Irish Film and Television Awards. December 11th, 2008 - The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual Golden Globe Award nominations were announced today and the Tudors received one nomination. Jonathan Rhys Meyers for Best Performance by an Actor. The Awards will be aired January 11th, 2009. |

Watch
An organization called cablefax -- which promotes the cable television industry -- has nominated Jonathan as best actor on cable. Other nominees are the leads in Mad Men, the Shield, Breaking Bad and Battlestar Gallactica. The show is not nominated for best show on cable but for a category best drama show on cable.
