I am a huge fan of the Tudors, and my favourite characters are Jane Seymour, Princess Mary and Thomas More (and no i'm not a Catholic). I live in Canterbury, England which is lovely and i wouldn't move for the world. I love history but am particularly enthralled by the Tudor and Stuart era. I'm a student (or a parasite as my parents call me) and am studying history. I also love Robin Hood and am in love with Richard Armitage aka Guy of Gisborne. My heroes are Isabella of Castile and Henry V for being warrior monarchs; Jane Seymour for being the perfect role model with a mixture of kindness, compasiion, courage and common sense; Thomas More for staying true to his beliefs right to the very end; Vladimir Lenin (to an extent) for putting an end to oppression of the poor even though he could have done nothing and live in relative luxury himself; William Shakespeare for his amazing sonnetts and plays that inspire me to write and Leonardo da Vinci for his beautiful artwork and excellent mind, he was a right prankster!


Jane Seymour
Jane is everything a woman should be. She was exceptionally kind hearted, loving and brave. She was very compassionate, especially to her stepdaughters, bringing Mary back to court and being kind to Elizabeth. She showed that she could voice her opinions without having to be OTT. She was loyal to her family and old mistress, Catherine of Aragon, taking it on herself to honour Catherine's memory by taking care of her daughter Mary. It was her virtue, kind nature and sweetness that made Henry fall in love with her, and this, along with her giving him his long waited for son, secured her place as his most beloved wife.










Princess Mary
Poor Mary, first to be the apple of her father's eye and then to be demoted in such a way. Her life was full of trials and she did well to overcome as good as she did. Everytime she had happiness it was stolen away from her. She was devoted to her mother and like her, she remained true to her faith and beliefs but suffered terribly for it. Naive but strong and intelligent, Mary did the best she could with her hellish life. Although i don't approve her treatment towards the Protestants, she believed she was saving them and i believe she did bad things with good intentions.








Thomas More
A brave man who stayed true to his beliefs. He may not have been completely innocent or saintly, but back then very few men were. Faithful and strong, he died for his beliefs with great honour. He was also a wonderful husband and father, and was loved by many.
