My name is Jewels68. I am a huge fan of The Tudors and just can't wait for season 3...roll on next year!!! The hilarious thing is.... I haven't watched season 2 yet.... seriously true. I don't have Showtime so I am anxiously waiting for it to be out on DVD. Isn't that funny??? So, here's some info all about me.... I am married to the most wonderful guy in the world and I have two kids, one 17 and the other 11. We are adopting four, yes thats right 4!! Yeh, you can call us crazy, we call ourselves "full of love!!". I was born and raised in the U.K so yeh I have blue blood!! We now live in the U.S.A. I have been crazy about the 1500's for ever. I am fascinated by Henry VIII and his wives and that time period in general. I think that if ,and I don't believe that there is, such a thing as reincarnation, then I must have been around during that time!! If I could live anywhere in this world it would have to be Italy. I have been to Ghana, Africa and someday in the future we will live there because my husband is from there. My dream job would be to travel this world and see and experience everything all on someone elses dime!!! I think it would be fantastic to be a TV host on one of those travel channels. The last movie I saw was "Atonement". It was good. I wasn't that impressed with "The Other Boleyn Girl', the book was so much better. I love "The Age of Innocense", I think it's something to do with the dresses. Favorite books, gosh, I have so many. I guess it would have to be anything about Henry and his wives. I loved the books by Anne Easter Smith, I didn't want them to finish, those were called " A Rose for the Crown" and "Daughter of York".... fabulous :) They were about Richard III. though !! I have just finished reading "The Autobography of Henry VIII" by Margaret George, it was pretty good. My favorite foods have to be Italian or a huge plate of English "Fish and Chips" from the local chippy... My favorite colors are shades of red. I love mint-choc-chip icecream, I'm a chocoholic!!!! I love dresses and jewels ,shoes and corsets from different time periods, mostly the 1500's - 1800's.L I just love these paintings they each tell their own story... The detail in this painting is amazing, I wish it were huge. Look at Queen Katherine in the doorway watching Henry and Anne. Is that Fitzroy on the floor? Henry meeting Anne at Hampton Court. Is that Wolsey wearing that big red hat in the background?? 15th century Florentine gown, beautiful and elegant. These are Janes gems! And these were Anne Boleyns... Queen Elizabeth I crowned in 1558. (above) This is a painting suposedly of Elizabeth I. Most paintings portray her with red hair and very fair skin . I like it regardless! Mary, Queen of Scots. (above and below) I like the beading details in these paintings. This is the neck line of the Princess Elizabeth, again, love the detail!! This is Edward VI in 1538. This is the translation of the text... "Little one, emulate thy father and be the heir of his virtue; the world contains nothing greater. Heaven and earth could scarcely produce a son whose glory would surpass that of such a father". O Leave me a comment below, or send me II would imagine that even though these dresses are gorgeous and I'm sure the women who wore them looked amazing, I'm sure they were incredibly uncomfortable. The bodice and the corsets were so tight that one could hardly breathe and to sit down was near impossible. Can you imagine wearing something like this in the summer months...OMG!a This is a photo of Blenheim Palace, my parents just visited for me!!! Tmessage or compliment!
