Do you think Anne Boelyn ever regretted her treatment of Katherine as she approached her own death?

Personally I do not think it was in Anne Boleyns Character to regret anything she did to Queen Katherine. She in my humble opinion was the one women who saught power at all costs. So when it came to her time in the tower I dont think she thought of KOA she was too selfish. She probably if anything thought of her cruelty to Mary and what would now become of Elizabeth.

Actually, she did, just before her execution: she requested forgiveness for her treatment of Mary and, by association, Katherine of Aragon. Interesting, as Henry VIII must bear the burden of the abominable treatment the two endured. This is in primary source documents, but rarely mentioned in popular history.

One myth regarding Anne Boleyn is that she celebrated Katherine of Aragon's sad passing. Eustace Chapuys, in L&P, records she immediately withdrew after the festivities Henry VIII orchestrated for the occasion, terribly upset and fearful, knowing full well her vulnerability sharply increased. As to what she thought when imprisoned is impossible to speculate, as we only have Kingston's letters, severely damaged in a fire a good two hundred years ago, before being thoroughly examined. As for Anne Boleyn seeking power at all costs, this is certainly contrary to my extensive research.
