MY FAVOURITE QUEEN KATHERINE OF ARAGONThere are so many reasons I love and admire Katherine Of Aragon,she was such a strong brave women who stayed true to her beliefs she never gave in even when under duress. She was beautiful both inside and out. Katherine was raised to become Queen of England, a role she exceeded in. Henry respected and loved Katherine and in their first years of marraige he confided in her and truely valued her opinion. Katherine was Regent of England when Henry went to France on a military campaigm,when the Scots invaded England Katherine in her role as Regaent sent an army north to meet the Scots,the Scots were defeated. She was a kind women whose ability to forgive those who treated her badly was amazing. Her faith in God kept her strong throughout her tribulations and that inspires me. Katherine was a devoted wife and a great mother to Mary. Henry did not deserve her. Katherine never forgot who she was and conducted herself with dignity even when in the worst conditions. She truely was a great Queen who even to this day is loved by many people.  As potrayed by the lovely Maria Doyle Kennedy   Princess Mary I love Mary and feel she is very much misunderstood. Mary was very much loved by both her parents. Henry doted on her and boasted "this girl never cries". Imagine spending years basking in that affection from your father to seeing him treat your mother badly,and in turn being made illegitamate and a basterd. I think Mary never got over the loss of love from her father and her seperation from her mother. They were very close and one can only imagine how poor Mary felt not being allowed to see her mother even before Katherine died. Mary was not a bad Queen,she was a Catholic Queen trying to rule a protestant country. I think Mary spent her life trying to regain the love she had as a child but sadly never found it. He was a very intelligent man who stayed true to his faith and morals. He never compromised his beliefs. He was very much a family man who preffered to be at home with his wife and children than at court which was unusual back then. He was so brave and dignified up until his death. Cardinal Fisher: John Fishor was one of Katherines most trusted counselers and one of her chief supporters. He appeared in the Lagates court on her behalf and declared he was ready to die on behalf of the indissolubility of the marraige. He met his death with courage and bravery and his execution speech to me was very moveing. Jane Seymore: Many are quick to label Jane as weak,meek and unintelligent. Whilst she was not as well educated as Katherine or Anne I couldnt agree with that. I dont see her as meek more that she was wise enough to know when to stop with Henry. I admire her for her kindness to Mary, and for her efforts to see Mary reinstated in the sucsession and to see her returned to court. She also made sure Elizabeth was present at Edwards christining. She also asked for Pardons for participants in the Rebellion of The Pilgrim of Grace although Henry rejected her efforts and reminded her of the fates of the other Queens who meddled in his affairs.
