Hey there, my name is Cassie

I'm from Manchester in England, and it rains ALL THE TIME! That's probably why i'm sucha book worm because i have to stay inside so much.

I love anything to do with history, any country, any era, though my particular favourites are Medieval/Tudor England, Renaissance Italy and Communsist Russia.

I have lots of favourite historical figures, but i really love two families in particular. The Seymours and the Medici. Even though for the most part, the Seymours were villains, i find them fascinating and intriguing because they were so ruthless and ambitious.

Therefore, my favourite Queen of Henry VIII has to be Jane Seymour, followed closely by Catherine Parr who married into the family after Henry's death. I also have deep respect and admiration for Catherine of Aragon for standing up to Henry. I do have a soft spot for all the wives and HATE HATE HATE when people pit them against each other. They aren't to blame for the other's downfalls. It was Henry. He had the power and if he wanted to do it, no one could stop him.
