I joined this wiki because: LadyLizzy introduced me to The Tudors and I lam a history geek, so I was instantly hooked. Interests: History (obviously!), especially prehistoric and ancient history (Egypt and Rome), but also the (European) Middle Ages. I have been fascinated with history ever since I visited a prehistoric exhibition at the age of five with my father and he took me to a lot of the major cultural sights across Europe during my childhood and teens, including Egypt, Greece and Italy. I have yet to see the Caves of Lascaux though and admire the prehistoric paintings there. I also love languages. Sadly I only speak two fluently, but I can at least scream for help in a couple of others! What else interests me? Cooking! To my mother's never ending surprise I have developed a passion for it. As a teen I couldn't even be bothered to make instant soup, now I scour the internet and cookbooks for new recipes all the time and am an avid fan of 'Bento' the japanese artful way of arranging food in lunch boxes, so it is tasty AND pleasing to the eye. Fantastic food art! Favorite TV shows: Most anything that has some element of the supernatural, science fiction or fantasy in it or has an historical setting is sure to catch my attention. Over the years I have liked and loved Highlander, Buffy, Firefly, Supernatural, Deadwood and a number of others. I am a Trekkie as well, with a special love for DS9. My hero(es): I don't think I really have one. It used to be Yuri Gagarin, when I was a little kid, because I lived on Yuri Gagarin Street, I wanted to be an astronaut and he was the first human in outer space! My superpower is: If I have one the world must be full of kryptonite, because I have no clue what it could be! If I could live anywhere, it would be: I would live somewhere else every year. Today Australia, tomorrow Namibia!
