Lorraine67!!Welcome!!! Right some things about myself. My name is Lorraine Mc Guinness and I am 17 years old. I am in my first year in college in NUI Galway. Loving that!! I am from a small (ex)fishing town called Killybegs in Co. Donegal. I have brown hair and eyes. I want to become an actress in the near future so you might want to watch out for my name on the screens!!!! :D I have a pet cat called caramel, cara for short. Fitting for a name as in Irish that means friend. :) I can't wait for season 3 of The Tudors and I love this site sooooooo much!!! FAVOURITE WIFE OF HENRY VIII ANNE BOLEYN I don't know about you, but i believe that Anne Boleyn was the most interesting wives of Henry VIII. I loved the way how she used her traits to her advantage. She was a young, intelligent, seductive woman and was able to turn any situation to her advantage. She came to the court of King Henry when she was a young woman and immediately caught his eye. She used this to her own personal gain. I don't and would not be able to do this and that it why she is interesting. She was able to wrap Henry around her little finger, and convinced him to get a divorce from his present wife at that time, Katherine of Aragorn. She even changed the course of religious history by having Henry create a new religion; the Protestant religion. Anne gave birth to the most powerful monarch the English Nation have ever known; Princess Elizabeth 1st. Although an influential person at this time she also had some flaws like most people. She failed to see that she was gaining enemies, which helped to her downfall as a Queen. She died an innocent woman on the belief that she was commiting adultery against the young King of England. The portrayal of the queen by Natalie Dormer, in the show, also helped to show how interesting Anne Boleyn really was. KATHERINE OF ARAGON Another Queen that is my favourite is Katherine of Aragon. She was the daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, both, successful military leaders. She was a young, beautiful, intelligent, gentle woman who knew what her people wanted. She was married first to Henry's older brother Arthur, but when he was 15 Arthur died, leaving Henry free to marry Katherine. Although Katherine was a little older than Henry they had a long and loving marriage to each other. Then Anne Boleyn arrived on the scene and destroyed everything that they had together. Henry fell in love with another woman, while, Katherine remained loving and loyal to Henry until the bitter end. Katherine was a devote Catholic, like many Europeans and she gave birth to Mary Tudor. My very own slide show :)
