"I like the real Henry. I'm probably the only one on the wiki that truly thought he was a remarkable man, despite his paranoia and cruelty in his later years. He was very gifted in many aspects. I often daydream about how I'd handle him if I ever had the chance. Flattery was always the best way to get on his good side. I wonder what kind of man he'd have turned out to be if he never had to go through "the great matter". I'm sure that KOA's stubbornness and AB's relentlessness would have made him a much better king if he had never had to go through what he did with them. That the whole thing soured him is an understatement. I think if he'd had never met Anne, he'd have found a way to stay w/KOA and Mary would have been heir. Tho, KOA died at about age 50. I wonder if had he stayed w/her and not annulled the marriage, would he have remarried and gotten the son he needed? A strong healthy son, unlike Edward, tho Edward was said to have been strong in his early years. Would he have been a kinder more considerate man if he'd stayed w/KOA until her death? I like to think he'd have been a better man and ruler if he had. But all things are for a purpose. If he hadn't done what he'd done, England wouldn't be the same, so there may have been some benefits from his turbulent rule.
